Rosie, glad the 'visits' went OK but like Hazel, I'm a bit confused about the weekend wait. I went to re-pressurise the boiler and whilst one of the little 'taps' was easy to open the other one just wouldn't budge, even swearing at it failed to work so I then had to spend a good hour trying to speak to a real human being (I have a Home Serve agreement with BG!) to arrange an engineer's visit. Even their website was still showing the 'Sorry we are having technical difficulties' which has been showing for over a year now! Eventually a nice (truly) lady came on the phone and cutting a long story short I have an engineer appointment booked for tomorrow between 08:00 and 13:00. I bet it will take him about 10 seconds to sort it out.
Hazel, that geranium is just gorgeous. I know colours can look different on various devices but I can see a beautiful salmon pink.

LB, yes, the colour of the geranium is pretty much as you see it, a peachy, salmon colour.

Heavens, I've forgotten about GW being on! ย See you all tomorrow ......๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Š

I like this one very much, thank you. My ageing parents, keen gardeners, will too.
  • Apparently theyโ€™re to ring Monday or Tuesday about delivery which advised would be 10 days ย I decided to get a carpet and buy a rug to go over as the expenditure otherwise was climbing. ย  Not ideal I know. ย Night night everyone.

    Morning all (from the CA),ย

Fell asleep during GW and woke up around 1am with cramp in both calves :o Entirely due to a very long walk in the sun on Friday afternoon (slightly marred by stopping every now and again to misshit a little, white ball [vaguely] towards a flag ;)). Finally, managed to stick to the agreed 3-day week (well, sort of! Did about 4 hours Friday morning to get finished)ย and my reward was an afternoon of hacking.ย

Recently it seems that I'm only getting on here at weekends and missing a lot of what is going on. Hope you've all been getting some better weather. Had some crackers here and the BBC forecast gives a 0% chance of rain for every hour of every day (apart from 4-5% for 3 hrs on Monday evening) for the next 10 days. Pull the other one :Dย ย

I intend to make the most of it tomorrow and have a good few hours hobbling around the back garden. Unfortunately, OH had her parents and sister round whilst I was out slicing and hooking. Wish she'd have told me that my gardening was going to come under the scrutiny of a royal visit ;) Apparently, they were very complimentary but I'd have liked a 5-minute warning so I could have had a tidy up. At the moment it's really only me who is ever in the garden so I can leave all the WIP jobs as they are without it being an eyesore to anyone but me. Unexpected visitors won't see it at its best.

Had a nicer surprise than normal on an inspection lap whilst putting out the bins the other morning - evidence of hedgehog. Now that's an unexpected visit I don't mind :D Sure beats the cat poop which I continue to discover regularly :( If the hogs could come back with all their mates and remove a few Cyrils, that would be marvellous!

Good morning Biglad, Rosie and all to follow.

Rosie, hope you will have warm sunny day.ย

Here is sunny but with high wind. Flower market is shifted to next weekend, so I can go earlier to the cottage. Now is time for tea.
