Hello everyone. Debs the new DA rose is a beauty. I am sorely tempted, especially as it will grow well in a pot and I just love the apricot colour!
Hazel, there are some house plants that fold their leaves at night - Marantas and Oxalis triangularis are examples. Marantas are sometimes know as prayer plants because of this.
I have been in touch with the plumber who did my bathroon conversion as I want what is coyly know as a comfort height toilet. Bestie had one installed in her downstairs toilet for when her Mum stops there and I found it was much kinder on my back than the shorter pan on mine. To cut a long story short, he is coming on June 10th at lunchtime to fit it for me. I will get it ordered as soon as he confirms it is the correct fitting etc. I also wanted a lever handle rather than those irritating push buttons. I was really pleased he could get to me so soon.

Debs, what a lovely picture. Thank you for sharing. What kind of tortoise is Graham? For some reason I thought that he might have been a bit bigger. He is very cute though.

Lovely pic @debs64 and lovely granddaughter.Bonny girl. I thought graham was bigger too, I wonder why? But he's a loveable rogue and it's so nice to hear he's active and healthy.
LB, interesting new piece of bathroom kit, I think my parents had one of those installed as it's considerably higher than ours. Also, I didn't think you could still get the pull down handles.
Heres a thing, whenever 23 is here and needs the loo( what a subject 🫣) I always tell him to pull the chain and wash his hands😂😂  ......and he understands!

He is an African Pygmy tortoise I think. He won’t get much bigger so you wouldn’t think he would feel constricted in an enclosure 8 foot by 6 foot but apparently he does.
Love the new rose sounds gorgeous but …. I wanted pink!
I have tubs and baskets in front garden on drive all shades of pink. The rose was to go in the 3rd half barrel so now I need to get my thinking cap on.

Correct on both counts @Ladybird4 ;)

I ordered 10 planters from my youngest's boyfriend a couple of years ago - 3 deep, square ones for the blueberries, 5 long troughs and 2 shorter ones. Just to fit in the spaces I had in my head plans at the time! I don't think that the blackcurrants will be ideal in there mid/long term but they produced a crop last year and have more fruit forming now so I'll leave them be.

There's definitely one planter in the bike shed that needs painting, lining and filling and (I'm guessing) the last one of the 10 is in the main shed. Somewhere in the dark recesses of the impenetrable mess that currently resides in there!

The other 8 are now all in action :)

Good afternoon all. Shortly after I got back from town and having my booster jab I had a bit of a bombshell of a phone call. Handy brother rang to say our married brother had had a stroke at 15:00 this pm. He is now in hospital. Information is very thin at the moment but I am signing out for tonight and I'll see you all in the morning.
