Hello all. Just come in for tea then I will be outside watering everything. Gorgeous day and I spent it in the garden. Good news from my daughters friend, lovely girl we are close, she lost her little daughter at 33 weeks pregnant last year. On 9th May she had a healthy little girl. Beautiful and as she said herself “ your big sister sent you and you have saved me” So pleased for her. I couldn’t resist buying a cute little suit which will go into the post on Monday.
Must be heartbreaking to lose a baby at 33 weeks @debs64. Good news that her new little daughter has arrived safe and sound.
@Songbird-2 OH has local anaesthetic on Wednesday so the procedure didn't hurt, but his mouth has been a bit sore since. He won't get the crowns on the implants for a while. It all has to settle down first.
It's been rather a grey day outside. The sunny periods didn't happen. I've finished preparing my tax figures for the bilingual French lady to fill in the online form on Monday. I can't make head or tail of it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I've spent most of the day pottering in and out too. I noticed our Salvia Royal Bumble ( which is right next to the Geum which had loads of grubs in the soil) was looking sad so I've dug it out and put that in a pot too. Same as the geum, lots of lawn grubs in the roots. I hope I've saved it as it wasn't as far gone as the geum. Debs, great news about your friends daughter. I sometimes read stories like this in magazines, seems like a miracle. The little one will be cherished. Busy, interesting about your OH implants. Does he have any difficulty in eating whilst he's waiting for things to settle down? Not being nosey, just very interested. Someone once told that her friend had a mouthful of implants done ( bad teeth) at a cost of £15,000 and had a terrible time whilst waiting to get them finished. We've just watched GW from last night. We were both of the same mind thinking that the viewers garden with the little boy ( who was so anxious) in it, was so sad to view. At his age I don't think I had ever heard the words anxious or stressed and certainly wouldn't have known what they meant. We were just growing up, playing out with our friends and getting on with our days. To listen to that poor little chap feeling like that and articulating in such an adult fashion was very telling. Poor bairn. Signing out for now, night all and hope all the early birds may have a sleep in tomorrow!
A very good morning one and all. Looking promising outside. Just spotted a row of newly fledged starlings on my front gutter, squawking like mad to their parents who are raiding the bird feeder. Such fun to watch. Saw my first swallow of the year too.

LB, here is also looking promising, but it rained during the night. It's lovely to see swallows when they come back.
I'm quite tired after yesterday work at cottage. It was to be or not to be, but all onions are planted and few other veggies sowed. My friends from Austria arrived late last night, and brought many lovely seeds and plants. I didn't read back, but little bit later I'll make large pot of tea and do that.
Hope you all have lovely Sunday. Enjoy with few flowers from me garden this morning.
Good morning Ante and Rosie. I guessed you would be very busy Ante and well done for getting the onions planted. I think that your friends just brought more 'work' for you.
Are the plants and seeds veggies or ornamental? Whatever they are I am sure that you will enjoy watching them all grow.
Rosie, since I last posted, the sun has disappeared and it is looking a bit dull now. Never mind, I will find something to do I'm sure.
