LB, that remark of mine has made me laugh too😂 Watering the pits indeed, gawd!😂
Ante, hurray, you've had sunshine, long may it last. Our forecast for the rest of week and over the weekend is promising to be quite nice too. Nice change, isn't it?
LB, the door is looking good thanks. It fits nicely as there was a big gap around the door and frame on the old one, plus the wood was splitting where the hinges were. So, no repairing that door really. I think now the undercoat has practically dried that OH may get away with going straight to the main coat of paint now....doing it a lightish grey for a contrast in the all white hallway. We're pleased with it.
It's very mild outside which is pleasant.
Hope Rosie has had a successful day today with her flooring chap and the electrician.
Signing off for today. Have a good evening everyone. Hope Rubee's OH's legs are not too bad today.

    Good morning all.

Hazel, it's nice that new door fits perfectly. There is always more work with wooden door, but I like it.

What a lovely sight to see sun in the morning. I have my tea and prepare seeds for this weekend. Pets are fed and back to sleep, so I have few quiet moments for myself.

Wish you all lovely day, and enjoy, it's Friday.

Good morning @Ante1 and all to follow. Glad your weather is improving @Ante1 and you have gardening planned. I may do a few hours before work this morning then all day tomorrow is set aside to do more.
@Rubee how is your OH now? Hopefully a little better.

Lily is fed, I'm fed and now enjoying my cuppa.

Good morning Ruby. Fingers crossed your OH gets some helpful advice from the District Nurse. It must be such a worry for you both. I think I might find something in the GH to do. I will need to pressurise my boiler today as well or I won't have any instant hot water. Thank goodness for an electric shower!

Good morning everyone. Same here, LB, raining non stop, I needn't have watered everything last night after all. The sky is white so looks like we're in for a full day of it. This wasn't forecast at all. Your turn for the sun now @Ante1 🙂
Rubee, I'm so sorry to hear your OH leg is badly swollen, such a worry for you both and it must be so uncomfortable for him. Let's hope the District Nurse can suggest something for him.
Friday again, I don't know where these weeks are going to, it'll be Christmas  soon!🫣🤫

  • Afternoon ladies and gentlemen.  The floor man was very helpful advising although couldn’t have the initial plan, said should ring mon or tues to update.    The sparky was only young very nice and soon sorted.  PS don’t put concrete render in hole in kitchen they’d have to screed on top anyway in those circumstances.  Lesson learned.   Ante I’ve heard similar 😁.  LB  my aquilegia is looking lovely and all courtesy of the birds.  Hazel hope shopping all arrives and your hubby has a rest this evening,  Raining today.  LB like you hoping for sunnier days.

Evening folks. I imagine everyone has been busy today as it's very quiet on here today. Rosie, I'm glad you've got the electrics sorted, why do you need to wait until Monday  with your flooring.? Is it something to do with the concrete hole?
I am itching to plant our cosmos, they are in flower and we are having to deadhead some of them.. and they are still in their pots. We have been hardening them off and just need to go another week and then they can go in the ground.
We went to our big *esco this afternoon to pick up a nice a lego set that will go towards 23's birthday later on in the year and whilst there I saw a lovely deep pink blouse which I couldn't  resist. Oops!
It stopped raining this morning and although overcast it was really mild. Now, as evening draws in the sun has decided to show its face.

    Edited to add...

The freesia plant I bought and grew last year, has grown again this year and we  have the first flower stem and buds on it, some of which are just beginning to open. So pleased, they are my favourite flower ( along with daffs) and the smell is glorious.
