Hello everyone seems like you have all been busy. @Rubee hope your OH is in less pain now, it’s not acceptable for anyone to suffer there are so many forms of pain relief, fingers crossed the antibiotics help, just to say maybe a probiotic supplement or even some live yoghurt maybe a good idea, antibiotics are notorious for upsetting stomachs.
@Ante1 you put me to shame with all your gardening you work so hard. I struggle to keep on top of my tiny plot. @Busy-Lizzie what a gorgeous place to eat lunch. @Ladybird4 so pleased you have your compost you have reminded me to attend to my tomatoes 🍅 this weekend. Early night for me, today has been good, my favourite pharmacist was working and she dropped me home. Just sorted my recycling then off to bed.
Good morning everyone .Debs thank you for the tips .I will get some live yogurt .Yesterday morning OH rang to say that docs had reviewed his progress and he could come home .After an extremely long wait he arrived home shortly after ten last night. He wanted a takeaway . We ordered that and sat up talking until turned 1am.He will be on antibiotics for several weeks .So good to have him home .Rosie stayed with us last night .Forgot to say OHs meds have been adjusted and he seems more comfortable. OH would have been home a lot sooner if he could have got into a taxi .Unfortunately he can’t bend his legs very easily so he had to wait for hospital transport . LB enjoy your time with Bestie .Have a good day folks .
Morning all. Rubee I'm pleased to hear you have OH safe and sound back home. Let's hope now the new treatment will prevail. We didn't have a good day yesterday and on top of everything I started with a flare-up of PR again. This morning it has spread to more joints so will contact the Specialist ( as he had advised) and see what he can do. It's been raining this morning and it is very windy. Winter dressing gowns are out again. LB enjoy the day with bestie. Hope she's had a nice holiday.
Afternoon all. The ambulance man and woman delivered dad safely home and watched as dad gave mum a big cuddle, aws coming from the ambulance man and woman. They were very nice and have had to attend some difficult situations. We’re both delighted to have dad back. Hazel I hope it will settle down. I hope you can get some relief soon. Talking of winter dressing gowns I was rather togged up last night and did sleep well. LB enjoy your catch up with bestie after her hols. Debs hope you slept. Rosie
Good to hear your dad is safely back home now Rosie. He will be glad to be in his own bed tonight. It's very chilly here today, was sorely tempted to put the heating on this morning....but we resisted. Rang the hospital specialist and spoke to a lovely, helpful nurse. She advised blood tests immediately and would discuss case with Specialist who will be in to morrow. Went down to hospital pronto and was in and out quickly, no one waiting. Now back home trying to warm up.
Hazel ,sorry to read your joints have flared up again .It’s good you saw the specialist so quickly. Its quite cool here today . Gardening on hold while we have a lazy day .
Good afternoon all. Had great fun at Bestie's today as her granddaughter was there. We sat in the garden and played a dinosaur game, snakes and ladders, ludo and a Peppa Pig matching cards game. I was exhausted at the end but a good time was had by all. Bestie had had a great holiday and admitted that she didn't want to come home
Ruby, that is wonderful news about your OH. I bet you are glad to have him home as he will be too.
Hazel, did you get to your Mum's OK for your visit. So sorry to hear that your PR has flared up again but at least you are managing to get some rapid intervention.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hazel you’ll be glad the hospital visits over now put your feet up. LB it will have been good to see bestie and be entertained by her granddaughter. Keep thinking it’s Friday, June already. Again, hoping for more sunshine. Rosie. Lily wondering how you’ve been just to say thinking of you Rosie x
Glad Rubee's OH is home, safe and sound. I hope he will feel better for a while.
I finished weeding the veg garden. The beans, dwarf and runners still showed no sign. I had a dig about and found stems but no seed or leaves of the dwarf beans and nothing at all of the runners. I sowed more seeds, having soaked them in meths first and put down some ferrous slug pellets.
We went to the SM this afternoon. Bought some Prosecco for my sister's 70th birthday party on the 10th June.
I was deadheading roses and saw a bright green lizard, quite big, in the border. I rushed off to get my camera and when I came back it was still there! When I tried a closer photo it shot off.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
