We have another sunny and windy morning. Two days ago I planted all sweet potatoes seedlings and some more vegetables seeds. It was hot, and I made mistake to do all this because I was exhausted. But now is all well and we can go ahead with new jobs. 😊
Rosie, I'll join you with cup of tea, then must go to the school.Â
A very good morning all. I'm back from handy brother's and having my breakfast and a cuppa. It was nice on the M6 going south - I was on it at about 05:45 but it was markedly busy on my return journey. I hope that Hazel made her early start to her Mum's OK.
Ante, my goodness but you were a busy bee yesterday. At least that labour intensive job is done now.
Busy, such a kind thing to do for one of your NDN when you get home. Just over a week now. Doesn't time fly?
@rowlandscastle444. I can totally empathise with your OH as my sleeping patterns are ridiculous. Glad you enjoy the Snoopy cartoons.

Good morning everyone .I hope everyone is ok .Hazel safe journey .LB yes the time seems to be going so fast . Busy you don’t seem to have been in France very long . Good neighbours are a treasure . I am sure your ndn  will feel supported.Ante I hope your working day isn’t stressful. Saying hello to Lily if you are looking in .Sending best wishes at this difficult time . I hope TBird is ok .Thinking of all those we haven’t seen on Rez for a while. I hope all is well with you . My OH is progressing slowly .He rings me four times a day .He has seen several doctors. Some problems sorting out his meds but that’s ok now .Dermatologist came to see him yesterday. She feels the infection is reducing .Her decision,OH has two days more of antibiotics via the cannular
then two days of oral antibiotics then they will decide if he can come home.He will be on antibiotics for at least three weeks when he comes home.Unfortunately infections can be recurrent with OH halves condition.Sorry about the long post .
Morning all, a much cooler, breezier start today plus we had some rain through the night. Even the heating kicked in briefly, though it’s off again now. Ive still got some plants to pot up and as I went to the GC yesterday to get more compost, I should stir myself to get on with it. I think @Ante sets a good example to us all 😊. Good to hear that your OH is making progress, @Rubee, and that he will be able to come home in the next 3 or 4 days, all being well.Â
Morning Ruby and Red maple. I've just finished watering my cacti and checked emails as I'm expecting compost today. Woo hoo, it will be delivered between 12:10 and 13:10. I can then get more of my plants potted up. I checked the tomatoes in the GH and they have had a real growth spurt with this lovely weather we have had so I will need to do some tying in and side shoot removing later.
Ruby that is positive news about your OH. I do hope this improvement continues so that he can get home soon. Are you planning something special for his return?
Red maple it is cooler here too at the moment but I'm hoping it will get out sunny later.

Ante difficult to do all the planting when hot, hope you had plenty of drinks.  Well done.  LB you were an early bird.  Glad you’re back now.  Don’t overdo it.  Red Maple much cooler here too and rain.  Hope we’re set for more sunshine. Â
Good afternoon all. Well my compost arrived earlier than they said but I'm not complaining. I am leaving any potting until the weekend. I managed to get my tomato plants tied onto taller bamboo stakes and I had a lot of side shoots to remove. I'm pleased with them so far. I cleared out some of my thuggish Japanese anemones and consigned them to the compost bin. Finally I did some watering. Its paper bin collection day tomorrow so I've got that all ready to wheel to the end of the drive and now I think it is time for a cuppa. The sun did finally break through the cloud cover and it has been quite pleasant.

I did some dead heading and tying up of plants this morning then OH took me out to lunch at a beautiful old water mill where they run a trout farm. We sat on the covered terrace looking at the river, weir and old bridge and ate trout mousse, trout with almonds, green beans and mushrooms then fruit salad. 2 glasses of rosé each and coffee - all for £26 each.
