    Hi all

I love Amsterdam, l worked in Holland for a year and spent a lot of time in the city. It was also the first trip away I made with Moira when we had been going out for a few months.

    Morning all.
There's a fabulous Thai restaurant in Amsterdam called Little Thai Prince. We used to eat there every night when we visited Amsterdam.
The best Thai food I've eaten outside Thailand and very reasonably priced.

    Good morning to everyone.

Decent news @Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble  I'm glad the grafts have been accepted and also to know that there won't be any on your wee boy's face.

@punkdoc and @Hostafan1  Annoying no, interesting yes.  Need some spice in our lives from time to time....bit like sex really!!

Clouds- clouds - clouds @Pat E   Seems to me that you are back on track!!  N° 1.  A little man wearing a hat and long trailing coat, waggling his finger.
N° 2.  My Border Collie sleeping on her back!  Or a rocket lying on its side.
N° 3.  A baby elephant getting a fright from the scary face in front of him. (Top of the photo)
(And I won't tell you the dream I had last night!!!)

@coccinella  I hope the weather is clement for you in Amsterdam.  Jacques Brel sings about the port there.  Enjoy the Vermeer Exhibition.

Today's expression is a bit grim:  S'il neige à la Saint Onésime, la récolte est à l'abime.

    Have a pleasant Thursday.

    Good news.
2 Clematis [ Clematis', clematises ] being delivered today.
Having been a bit miserable over the last couple of weeks, I have been ordering a lot of plants. Don't tell Moira.

Morning all, feel a bit dopey this morning after a bad night. Woke up coughing at 3 am so had a cuppa but then couldn't get back to sleep as right shoulder very painful. Overdid it probably with the mattock yesterday. I walked to the shop for the paper (first time for over a fortnight) and it was quite pleasant out so that was good exercise in fresh air. The snowdrops are out on the stream bank and my daffodils, primroses and crocuses are out on the verge outside the house.

OH's left knee is now playing up so we fear the other hip is beginning to plague him as the consultant warned it might.

We have the gas engineer here to hopefully fit a new emergency control valve as recommended by the boiler installer. Our meter is very old, probably 1970's and he's having trouble accessing it because the path step has been built too close.

New plants are very good for the soul @punkdoc, enjoy.

The putting back stuff is always worse than taking it out in the first place @Allotment Boy but no doubt you will be very pleased with the new wardrobes.

@Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble, hope you both had a better night's sleep.

We love Amsterdam as well, we have Dutch friends and have visited frequently.
