    We spent an hour with him. Just got home. The bottom half of his face is fine … just white where his thick beard protected him. The top of his face is brown and the top layer is peeling as if he’s having a facial peel at a spa. But there’s a lot of ointment too so it looks a bit odd. He still has eyelashes! They give him eyedrops to keep his eyes moist. They’re playing music from the Spotify list a musician friend did for him. They think he probably can hear so I chatted away about this and that and showed the nurse pictures of him so they’ve got something to aim for. He’s breathing well and the nurses are pleased with him. They brush his teeth for him! When the grafts begin to take they can even give him a shower in his room in a special bed without having to unhook him from all his tubes and wires.

    They’re planning to do grafts for his hands on Monday

    Wonky is going to go on Sunday with Papa Womble.

    Now I’ll put my feet up. OH has pizza and salad for me.

    i went to that big Van Gogh exhibition at the Rijksmuseum
    @didyw … totally unforgettable ❤️

    @Dovefromabove, thanks for the update, glad you got to see your son, it makes all the difference and pleased he seems to be going on well. It's a terrible, terrible shock to see someone you love in ITU as I found out after my son's awful car accident when he was 19 so I feel for you.

    Time to relax a bit if you can.

    Hope you have a marvellous holiday DD.

    Thinking of you @Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble Intensive care is a scary place, well I found it to be when I visited Hubby there, but I'm sure you feel better for having seen him.
    Spent a couple of days looking after a poorly Gabriel, he's much better now, but getting steroid tablets down his throat has been a real challenge.  Really tired so I'm off for an early night, well early for me.
