Dove, my daughter is the hero, she was so modest. Said it was nothing. The off duty policeman put her forward for the award, then it has to go before a panel.

That's so sweet Dove, got something in my eyes again!! It's not the first time. She was one of the managers in a large well known supermarket. During the pandemic an older chap was staggering round the store. Her colleagues said he was drunk, she sat him down, took him home, went to his fridge to make him a cuppa, said there was NO ALCOHOL or empty bottles anywhere. It was a side effect of his meds. She went back in store, have it to them with both barrells!! As a child my late mum rescued the diabetic chap in his 40s,and sadly the lady with dementia also in her 40s who both walked up the street in the village naked. He the diabetic, collapsed at one of the main London stations, also left, incoherent, slurred, thought to be drunk... actually having a hypo.

Afternoon all,  Glad to hear the news is good today @Dovefromabove, @WonkyWomble

Just heard on the news that they have found the body of a woman near the site where Nicola Bulley disappeared, no confirmation of identity yet, but it sounds like it is her.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Good afternoon,  a bright if breezy day here. Managed some time outside, and sowed my first seeds of the season,  all veg of course, you wouldn't expect any different from me 😄
Glad to hear of continued progress @Dovefromabove,  shame about the visiting situation but understandable in the circumstances.

Afternoon all, glad the progress report is encouraging @Dovefromabove, hopefully that will continue.

Beautiful sunny and warm day here, I've been out in the garden for most of it. Really pleased to find lots of crocuses coming out that the squirrels have missed, thought they'd ate most of them. Have ordered a new pest controller thingy that I hope to programme to deter squirrels, does racoons  amongst other apparently so should work!

I bet you're pleased to be able to get and about in your greenhouse @Allotment Boy.
Hopefully BL's OH will be the same in a couple of weeks.

@Yviestevie, I've just seen the same report, not unexpected but so sad, feel quite upset somehow. Her poor family.
