    Good morning!

@Dovefromabove - oh that is awful, I hope there is some compensation from the insurance company.  But they usually find a way .........

Rain forecast for today but the sun has made an appearance for now.

@floralies   Yes, it is a Swiss Ball.  The teacher gives us this exercise to do in between exercises/positions and it is a great way to massage your back i.e. lying on your back, legs on the ball and rolling the ball gently from left to right.  Yours won' t be that but your exercise sounds good.  Lidl often has the balls on special, not a bad idea to get one. (8 euros)

My BIL has just had a hip op in NZ.   Light anesthetic or he could have had a local spinal injection and stay awake for the op.  He has very little pain and is walking around - no stockings, no physio except walking.  He's 80.

Today says:  Neige à la Saint Isabelle, rend flour belle!!

    Have a pleasant day all.

    Morning all.

Thank you to everyone who has sent good wishes to OH for tomorrow.

I hope @Lizzie27's shoulder and @Ergates insides are OK today and @AnnaB's blood tests are as they should be. I hope @Dovefromabove's son is better each day.

@tui34 we used to go skiing in Meribel to when the children were still at home. Wonder if you were there then!

We did have pancakes after all yesterday as my friend made them for pudding.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Oh @Dovefromabove that is awful, hope nobody else was hurt. And how disgusting for the site to be raided by those vultures.

Hope the visit to your son today goes well and that you find him more comfortable and making good progress.

    Hi all

Back to being cold here, after several warm days.
Have started some seed sowing today, always makes me feel Spring is on the way.

I know that the spell check picked up flour instead of fleur in my expression of the day - but it sort of wasn't far off - really.  Was it?   :D

Hope the visit goes well today @Dovefromabove.  What a terrible thing to happen and how awful that the scavengers moved in straightaway.  'Twas ever thus I fear, one hears of the same thing happening during the Blitz.

Hope everyone's aches and pains lessen by the day and of course am thinking of you and C. @Busy-Lizzie and keeping everything crossed for tomorrow.

We had our retailers 'do' last night.  A series of talks to an invited audience (quite a good turnout).  People very enthusiastic about all we are doing in our little town and how it can favourably help their businesses.

Someone took a pic of me giving my talk.
Just prepping for a meeting this afternoon about the arts festival we are planning for the summer.

Turned colder hasn't it?  Think I might have to go and put another layer on.

Afternoon all, another bad night, thought I would ache after yesterdays massage and so I did. Been busy today getting ready for DIL's overnighter, do hope she's bringing dinner with her as there's not much left in the fridge! We were too full up to eat pancakes last night so might do them tonight.

We've managed to get the new (to me) curtains up at the front door, they look quite smart but are thinner being faux silk with a velvet trim. Not sure if they will keep the cold out but make a nice change. Only trouble is, might well need to get a new rug now as the old one doesn't quite 'go'.

Hope @Dovefromabove's visit to see her son goes well and she is encouraged by his progress.

Very best wishes to Busy-Lizzie's OH for his op tomorrow.

You look very much in command of the meeting @didyw, glad it went well.
