I’ve just noticed the temp gadget - veranda 33.5 and inside 18.2. I think I’ll stay inside for a bit longer. Pixel is out there though, lazing in the warmth.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Not a bad nights sleep, all things considered. Just waiting now until the daytime nurses have got settled in before I phone to see how my son is, then we’ll plan what time to set off to visit him …

    I hope you’ve all had a restful night 😊

Good morning to everyone from a very cold, windy and rainy South of France.  (I can hear you all cheering!!!).... at least we have tomatoes and cucumbers!!

Hooray @Busy-Lizzie  the op has finally gone ahead and your OH will be a different man in a couple of months.  So glad for you.  I am so sorry to hear the sad news of the death of your friend.  Condoleances to you and the family.

@coccinella  I do hope your medication will settle you down.  I wish you all the best.

Physio sounds excellent @Pat E  Glad it is working for you and there is less pain.

What a super gesture @Dovefromabove  and @WonkyWomble on behalf of your lad's friends.  Great idea and hopefully will be therapeutic to get him back to life in general.   Very kind of @punkdoc to guide you through ICU and keep you sane!!

Nipped in to supermarket yesterday as they were having a special on lamb forequarters which I bought for Easter.  Waiting for me was a shelf of long cut bone marrows.  Had to buy 2, and will have them for lunch!!  Can hardly wait!!

Off to the market this morning.  Have a fruitful day folks.

News from the hospital is that all things considered he's doing ok ... he has a slightly raised temp and high heart rate, but they consider both of these things to be normal in the circumstances and they're dealing with it.

We're leaving for the hospital in a bit so in a bit of a rush this morning ... but you're all so kind ...  and those of you who would like a link to the GoFundMe page, please PM me and I'll pass it on when we get back home ... bless you all 🙏

Morning all, rain overnight but now sunny and cold. @Busy-Lizzie best wishes to you and OH, good news and sad news at the same time, that is how it goes sometimes.
My daughter sent me a picture of a punnet of tomatoes she managed to find in the co-op, they were rather pricey! They eat a lot of them!
I have physio later, not looking forward to it at all 🙄

    Morning all.

Thank you everyone who wished OH well. What a lovely lot you are.

I hope @Dovefromabove has a good visit today and that her son is improving.

OH has just rung, he sounds very cheerfull. He's had coffee, is washed and dressed and sitting in a chair waiting for breakfast.

On the way back from the hospital yesterday I stopped at a small garden centre which has a farm shop. Lovely vegetables, no shortage of cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuces. I bought some and a punnet of raspberries.

Lovely to hear that your OH is cheerful and having a good start to the day @Busy-Lizzie 😊
Glad to hear the physio is helping @Pat E think I'd be basking with Pixel and @Hostafan1... Could do with some warmth in my bones!!
@tui34 enjoy your lunch! 😋 When I make Caribbean curry goat, the secret to the flavour is the bone marrow!
Best of luck with the physio @floralies.
And thank you so much to @punkdoc.
Have a good day all, off to get stuck into my gardening round.

    Hi all

Planning a day planning in the garden.
Good news about your OH, @Busy-Lizzie.
Love the sound of your bone marrow, @tui34, one of my favourites.
