The sun came out at 8.30 this morning and so did a blustery cold wind. Still, with the conservatory doors open to the lounge, the room is now 18°C which is perfect.
Start of the match. The French are playing in white!! Sorry, I know who I want to win.
Afternoon all, glad you had a good holiday @D0rdogne_Damsel. Hope you hear good news about your mortgage soon.
Also hope you enjoy your long walk @coccinella, rather wish I could do one too. Bored with sitting around.
Got OH to help me this morning manipulate my head (very carefully) following the GP's instructions. Hanging my head over the edge of the bed wasn't much fun but hoping it rebalances the fluid in my ears. Time will tell. I did manage to walk up to the back garden afterwards to photo the bank of purple crocuses in the sunshine, they're looking rather lovely and are spreading all over the garden in odd places.
Those pottery classes are good fun @didyw aren't they. I did one years ago and have still got the tall black cat I made.
Glad you both got a good night's sleep @Busy-Lizzie, very important just now. OH says that although I wasn't snoring last night, he could hear the funny whistling noise in my nose. Short of stopping breathing, I'm not sure what I can do about that! Really weird.
Today’s visit is the first time that I’ve been able to see past today!!! He looked more like my son … his poor head and face are less swollen … he responded to my voice, he tried to ask me questions. He kept making like a ‘why?’ shape … I told him there’s been a fire and he’d got burned … but he’s being looked after and he’s getting better and he’s going to be ok. He seemed to understand that. I told him he has nothing to worry about … his boss and colleagues have work covered and I’ve dealt with the rest.
The physio came in to help him clear his chest and he followed her instructions about when to take a deep breath and when to cough. After that the nurse put the Spotify playlist of music on that his friend chose for him, and he nodded and listened. He really relaxed then.
It was a very encouraging visit … I know we’re not out of the woods yet … he’s still critical and there are likely to be downs as well as ups … but now there is light at the end of the tunnel … I feel as if I’m going to get my son back 😂 ❤️
Thank you all for your support … especially you @punkdoc ⭐️

@Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble, hope the news from the hospital tonight is good. Hang on in there.

This is truly the best thing I have read today. 😊❤️
Do look after yourself though. You need the rest as well and perhaps a glass or two wouldn't come amiss!
