What wonderful friends my son has ... one of them has just sent me a voucher for a spa day to use whenever I'm ready in the next twelve months ... such kindness.

Has your OH got physio arranged @Busy-Lizzie? It will be a great help to him.
OH has a leaflet describing exercises from the physio at the hospital. She said he could arrange to go to a weekly physio class at the hospital in 3 weeks time, but it's 40 mins drive away and she also told him not to drive for 6 weeks. She said not to get into the car too soon if someone else was driving. Seems a bit of a non starter to me.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@Busy-Lizzie my OH had an online session on his iPad with a physio in order to learn the exercises (he has a knee problem at the moment) and now does them several times a day ... all in the comfort of his own home ... maybe something like that could be arranged ?

Lovely news and comments from you all. Makes me feel good.
Temps this morning are 34 on the veranda and 20 in here. I’ll be staying inside. I’ve a FaceTime appt this morning with the specialist in Canberra. Such a good idea instead of that trip up there and back.
Just read the update on the fundraiser - it seems to be going well! What a lovely thing your son's friends did for you @Dovefromabove! And how gratifying for you to know how loved he is.
What a warm feeling is to read about your voucher Dove. Let us know when you will go and use it, we will all be cheering for you.
Still bright and blue but cold. Yesterday I noticed that some parts of the garden already need a bit of water, I shall inspect better this morning. Not sure I want to water in this chill though. I think I have lost one salvia that didn't get moved in October. To compensate, the euphorbia that I moved 2 or 3 years ago (which died as predicted by this forum, because they don't like change) is showing up, about 10 cm tall already. Small wonders.
I am sending hugs with a cup of tea to all, in particular to those who are worried and scared about something, be it their own health or a loved one's. Let's keep strong.
Morning, not visited lately. Got my grandson staying, that involves a bit more work, and driving 5 miles each way, twice a day to school. Yesterday taking youngest son to the dentist,80 mile round trip. Lots of love and hugs to Dove and Wonky. Reading an article the other day by a British farmer, who said we aren't prepared to pay realistic prices for our veg,nor are the wholesalers. A lot of the producers couldn't afford to heat the greenhouses over winter. I try my best not to buy out of season, foreigner tomatoes in winter are tasteless, British, grow my own. Tomatoes/courgettes/peppers/aubergines/various salad leaves on the go... much cheaper too.we have had to turn off the one green house heating,250w, unless it's frosty.Hope everyone else is ok.
