    Good afternoon everyone.

Wild and woolly today so the fire is lit and I have enjoyed the match - Italy certainly gave the Irish a run for their money!!

I think home is the best place @Busy-Lizzie for convalescing and getting some TLC.  Hospitals can be rather boring during the weekend.

I hope your weekend is restful everyone.

    Evening all,

Much chillier today so had to wrap up warm. We took our friend out to lunch in the village she was born in near Bristol, 80 years ago. The pub has recently been refurbished and had a good crowd, if a bit noisy. Fortunately the rugby was on in a separate room. Lunch was smashed avocado with poached egg on sourdough for them whilst I had a salmon and cod fishcake with hollandaise sauce (too much cayenne pepper), greens and skin on fries. Puds were Creme brulee with liqueur, rum icecream for OH and I had a chocolate rose on cheesecake, chocolate soil and fresh strawberries which could have been so very nice but was actually very sickly. Would have much preferred the apple crumble but that had all gone. Anyway, it was a nice celebration which my friend well deserved. We've been invited to her bigger do next weekend, hope my waistline will stand it!

    Dinner is cancelled for tonight.

Evening. Aunty duties today so the feet are up now.

We had an earthquake last night apparently. A 3.7 one! I slept through it.

I hope all those with worries are doing ok.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Good morning @Dovefromabove and morning all and good evening @Pat E
We have the same sky Dove 👍 second coffee here too, sat watching talking dirty gardening podcasts on snowdrops with the cats while I let OH have a sleep in.

  • Good morning all,

Charlie and I are safely back from our amazing holiday. We always love it, but this year it was quite spectacular. The hotel was fabulous too, and the staff really good, especially the ski-doo driver. Sad to have left yesterday but already planning next year's trip.

We went up in the cable car just before we left to say goodbye, Charlie so didn't want to leave. 😅

Glad to hear OH is home and safe too @Busy-Lizzie and that your son is stable @Dovefromabove. A long road to recovery.

Washing to do today and then back to work tomorrow, including chasing up the bank and the accountant about my mortgage, luckily I managed not to think about it all the time we've been away.

Happy Sunday all, beautiful day here.

    Good morning all

Sunny and nippy here. A walk of 9k is planned for today, so I made sarnies and coffee to go. Woolly hat is a must against the chilly breeze. These walks always do me a lot of good, I had a bad night so all the better reason to get out of my .....

Glad to hear that @Busy-Lizzie OH is home and on the mend.
Great pics @D0rdogne_Damsel, glad you had a great time.

    Morning all.

I slept well despite OH snoring as having to lie on his back. We were very tired.

I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday @D0rdogne_Damsel, sounds fun but not restful. You have so much energy. It was a well deserved break.

    The sun is shining.

The sun is shining now. It’s a chilly day, but dry.

Super photos @D0rdogne_Damsel. The scenery is stunning. So glad you’ve had such a lovely time and that you’re already planning next years trip.

Pleased you managed a good nights sleep @Busy-Lizzie

Sending continued good wishes for your son/brother @Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble.

Enjoy your walk, @coccinella. I’m sure you will feel invigorated after it.

Hoping you all have a good Sunday.

Just back from my first clay workshop!  I booked it to cheer my daughter up and we both loved it so much we are booking more.  Who knew making pinch pots was so hard?  But it did cheer daughter up - she is more creative than me so will do well I think.  We will both be glued to the pottery throw down this evening.

Glad the skiing trip give you the fillip you needed @D0rdogne_Damsel.
