  • I hadn't realised how much my eyesight had changed in the past three years, @Obelixx - partly as a result of having shingles on my face just before we moved house - so it was a revelation putting on the new specs and seeing what things really looked like!  So many things got put on hold because of Covid, getting our eyes tested being one of them.

So glad your knee op has been a success!

Yes @Liriodendron.  I've been wanting an eye test for a while but no-one was taking new clients during Covid and we have to wait till December now.  OH hasn't had his prescription for contact lenses checked for 4 years now.

The knee has been great but I have worked hard at all the exercises cos of wanting to go back to dancing and be able to walk the dogs again, tho they have to wait a bit longer as the lanes around here have very rustic surfaces.

  • It's gloriously sunny and 20c, let's keep the heating postponed as long as possible. My front tubs need watering, they are really wilted.
