I'm normally out for a walk at this time of day, but I stayed in to watch the 'Curling Girls' because I couldn't get any reception through the night on the bedroom tv.
Tears weren't just for the rostrum. Superb. The Japanese team were a class act as well. Even when you already know the result, it's fantastic.
The boys did us proud too - but so close it was painful.

Those bobsleigh chaps -they were brilliant too...and self funded by the way, for all the nay sayers.

What struck me most was the difference in attitude of the Japanese ladies when things weren't going their way, and that of the USA men in the same position.  One set still doing their best and clearly still enjoying the experience and the other where the meaning of sportsmanship and grace in defeat is unknown.

RTBC - the storms will soon be over and the rain will eventually stop.

My garden may be under water but I still have the love of a wonderful woman.

    Does your wife know? :D

A little greenfinch crashed into our front window today and feathers flew everywhere.
I noticed it half an hour later sitting dazed on our terrace so carefully picked it up and put it in a small cardboard box under a stone bench for shelter (we've had snow/sleet flurries today and it's cold). Went out to check on it about 5.30 pm and it's gone, hopefully recovered from a bad headache and flown away. No sign of it anyway.
