That may be so @Dovefromabove, unfortunately my surroundings aren't quite so bucolic .
I forgot to mention that a very short while later l heard the sound of sirens, whether in hot pursuit or heading to sort out an RTA, who knows.
Never mind, at least for a while all was right with my world on this May morning :)

Oh ‘echium!  Hope it was nothing too nasty.  Of course, not all farm workers live in the countryside … many can’t afford it … too many in-comers have pushed the prices up … many farm workers commute to work in the countryside just as the city workers commute from their country cottages to their offices. Crazy 😜

My RTBC is that it rained gently from just after lunch yesterday and I think through the night so it's done a fair amount of good including watering my new blueberries in.

I have a decision to make for today's activities. Go to Dumfries House and wander around the gardens and have lunch or cutting back 3 shrubs that need my attention. If the weather was good there wouldn't be any dithering but it's cloudy and dreary. Decisions eh? In case you haven't heard of Dumfries House this is it. The gardens were totally overgrown and are now a dream to explore.

I was looking for somewhere to go today.

Three hours is perhaps a bit of a stretch though.

I’ll pop it on my list for when we cross the border later in the summer. 👍🏼

Dumfries House @Uff :)  The shrubs will still be there tomorrow, and you won't have to make lunch.
I envy you the opportunity for a day out, grab it while you have the chance.

@AnniD has it right ... you can prune the shrubs on Monday  :disappointed:
and you can take us to Dumfries House in your handbag and show us some photos later  B)

The goldfinches are louder than the sparrows today. Much as I love the sparrows, their constant cheeping can get irritating😊
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Ok AnniD and Dove. I'll go and give you a tour later including what I choose for lunch. Better get me slap on then. Shrubs are relegated until tomorrow.
