    Less than 2 months ago when we returned from holiday, I wondered if the grass would ever recover.  Looking at it today I wonder if I'll ever get the mower through it again.  It's far too wet to cut at present.

    Just checked the rain gauge - 32.5 mm since about this time yesterday! That should help replenish the ground water and top up the reservoirs.
