My RTBT today is that I had a surprise phone call earlier from my son who's coming up to stay overnight - hurrah, it will be lovely to see him.......but, he's also got to bring his dog, a very, very big dog.
They were talking to somebody from the club this morning. Apparently the young girl in the car has the job for the rest of the season. The club rep declined to comment on the actions on the pitch for contractual reasons (said with tongue firmly in cheek).
I'm normally out for a walk at this time of day, but I stayed in to watch the 'Curling Girls' because I couldn't get any reception through the night on the bedroom tv. Tears weren't just for the rostrum. Superb. The Japanese team were a class act as well. Even when you already know the result, it's fantastic. The boys did us proud too - but so close it was painful.
Those bobsleigh chaps -they were brilliant too...and self funded by the way, for all the nay sayers.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It was just wonderful. We recorded it and made sure we couldn't find out the result in advance. So have spent a very happy Sunday morning cheering them on. Such a feel good start to the day.
Even though I'm English, I played a bit of curling when we lived in Perthshire ... loved it. Think I could still get down and slide, but I might need a hand to get back up. To be expected when you're 27

I knew quite a few people who were keen curlers, and my Canadian uncle was heavily involved - as you'd possibly expect in that part of the world! Lovely for those youngsters in the team too. They'll all go back to work with a spring in their step. Not all sports are full of professionals, which is what many people seem to think.

My garden may be under water but I still have the love of a wonderful woman.
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
