Nothing to do with the plant, and probably more appropriate for Curmudgeon Corner, but why do makers of secateurs think it's a good idea to have handles in colour which blend in with the plants?
I picked them up, literally , at the local " tip ". The guy there said i could have them as the spring was missing.
I only use them for cut flowers indoors, but I get your point. Bonkers.

My husband found a chewed up glove in the garden and this time it wasn't mine!

I have actually seen worse.  A woman I worked with brought a boxed set of hand tools into the office.  She'd bought them as a present for a friend, and all had floral patterns on the handles.  That is truly idiotic, although it might result in additional sales of tools with bright red handles.

Another chewed glove. Not mine. .Pink. Frisbee that had bite marks - chucked  over the fence to garden with dogs. Rolled up tin foil  chucked to side with cats.

    Thanks @Lizzie.  How's your OH's new hip?

@Liriodendron that sounds great.  I keep some reading glasses in the polytunnel for when I'm sowing seeds but I'm off to see an eye doctor in December as I think I now need measuring for proper reading glasses, not just shop bought, and maybe even some for long distance.

He's fine @Obelixx, thanks for asking. His 6 weeks is up next week when he has to have x-rays and see the consultant. He can't wait to get rid of the pressure socks and hopefully can drive again if all is well.
