Haven't felt much like posting recently as things have been difficult to say the least. Apart from
not being well myself, Gabriel has been in hospital with breathing
problems again. We had the car clamped for non payment of road tax, had
no idea it was due and didn't get any sort of reminder. That got Hubby
into such a state that he had a stroke. He's managed to get the use of
his arm and leg back but so far he can't communicate as his speech has
gone. I can't visit him in hospital as no visitors are allowed,
although they did give me 10 minutes with him when he was first
admitted. I feel like this terrible time is never going to end.
Good grief @Yviestevie. That is a lot to contend with so no wonder you've been quiet.
Not much we can do here except sympathise, send positive thoughts your way and let you rant as and when you need to offload. I hope both Hubby and Gabriel improve soon and you get some relief.

I'm so sorry you've got all those worries @Yviestevie, I hope all three of you recover soon. It's hopeful your OH has got the use of his limbs back, his speech with the help of the therapists should surely follow. I'm appalled though that you are not allowed to visit, I would be jumping up and down and complaining loudly, there's no excuse for that at the moment, unless there's a high incidence of Covid in your area.
Oh @Yviestevie you've really been through it recently. I would be complaining loudly too, to the hospital and to the car tax people. Thank goodness the use of OH's arm and leg is back, augers well for speech. Sending hugs.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Such terrible news @Yviestevie, I can't imagine how you are coping.
We went to RHS Bridgewater, weather was terrible, but we were intrepid. Obviously it is very early days and is going to take years to develop... but some very promising signs.... huge walled paradise garden..... designed by Tom Stuart Smith already looks beautiful..... long stream garden with lots of ponds.... joining 2 lakes will be beautiful.... massive woodland with huge potential. It will be fun to watch it develop over the next few years. I think it is a very bold move by the RHS and I am sure it will be a success. I have taken photos, but the camera got very wet, so I will see what they look like and might post some later in the week.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Golly, I've got a new path. My landscapers have worked their socks off, despite heavy rain most of the afternoon. I'm really pleased with it and it will make life a lot easier. They are coming back tomorrow just to finish off and put the arbour back up for me.
Glad you enjoyed your day @Punkdoc despite the awful weather. I am looking forward to seeing Bridgewater too some time in the future.
My heart goes out to you @Yviestevie - I hope your husband can continue to progress well. It must be very upsetting not to see him. We have re-started visiting for some circumstances by testing the visitors. Ask to speak to the senior nurse.
Huge hugs for @Yviestevie - what a dreadful time you are having. Hope hubby’s speech starts to improve very soon, and that you get him home quickly. I also don’t understand lack of visiting rights - the last thing you need is a fight over that amongst everything else. Make sure you make time to look after you too 🤗
Glad you give Bridgewater the thumbs up @punkdoc. Photos would be amazing when the camera dries out. It’s a way from us, so will wait a couple of years before visiting I think.
