I’d do the same ... have you got any kitchen scales so you  can tell us how heavy it is?

Mind you, a rotisserie chicken won’t be huge. an hour to an hour and a quarter should be fine.

@Hostafan1 .Just checked in my cooker book. 1 hr - 1.15 is fine. It's a fan oven. You can test when you think it's done, by putting a knife in the thickest bit, if juice runs clear, it's done, if it's pink, leave it for a bit.
    Good luck.

    Thanks all.
Next stupid question. Can I cut up some spuds and carrots and put them in the baking tray at the same time?

Yes ... I would smear them with a bit of cooking oil, sprinkle with pepper and salt and cook them around the chicken. Unless the carrots are huge Ud leave then whole or just sliced down the middle. Keep an eye on the carrots and take them out early and keep them warm if they look like they’re done before the chicken is ready.

Hope Hostfan's dinner is cooking nicely.

Good news is that I apparently don't need a hip replacement, bad news is that I'm just suffering from old age! Which is kind of unavoidable somehow. X-rays just showed signs of osteoarthritis. So paracetamol, exercise, diet, heat packs etc. Lifting heavy sacks of compost or pots strictly verboten.  Will really have to simplify the garden if I can't do much digging or weeding.

Really looking forward to seeing my siblings tomorrow although not the forecasted gales all day. Hope to stop halfway up for lunch - inside! Champagne all packed to celebrate all our birthdays.

Just watched the Panorama programme about the Diana interview. I am shocked. Which is quite unusual, being a cynic about the media on the whole and no fan of the Princess. But I really am aghast at what went on there.
