It's too cold. I don't mind the rain so much, although we have had as much as we need, thanks. But I'm fed up with wearing thermals. Yes I know about clouts and no, the may isn't out yet. But it really should be by now

Because of 7pm curfew here we've had to have our meal with friends at 5pm, not quite sure what you'd call that @Nanny Beach. 😅
Anyway, very nice and the sceptical friend only made one or two comments about the "Scamdemic" as he calls it. We all just ignored the bait.
One of the guests was my friend who had a stroke in December, he's made great improvement and has finally been discharged, although still having physio weekly. So nice to see him looking near normal. His right leg is still numb but he's managing to walk with a stick. Sadly he can't drive and has had to sell the camper van he bought just a year or so ago. A shame, he had great plans to travel in it around France. At least he's home and mostly mobile.
Stopped raining around lunchtime, warmer but now a bit windy, not normal for May. 🙄 I too would like a dry week @Biglad. 🙏
Chooks are doing very well there @Obelixx, I've seen more slugs than before this week, all this rain, I could fling some up in your direction. 😁
Early night here, I've had a few very early mornings and not sleeping well with all the lists buzzing in my head, feeling very tired now so going to let sleep wash over me. 3 more sleeps until we open......need to be on form.
Have a good evening all.
P.S. anyone seen @Yviestevie? I might have missed her posts.

@Yviestevie last posted the end of April, I hope she's OK.
My son 1, lovely French wife and my 3 little granddaughters left this morning, long drive home. It was a long weekend as Thursday was a bank holiday, a lot of French took advantage of it as the 10km rule has ended and we are now allowed to leave our regions. I've had both vaccinations now. Son's eye is still hurting and swollen but a lot better than it was on Friday night. The doctor said nothing is permanently damaged it just needs a bit of time to heal.
After they left I went to lunch at a friend's. We had a delicious meal and a good natter, just the two of us.
All the above talk of travel. I really want to travel to England from mid June to be with OH when he has his hip replacement 2nd July.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning everyone. We’ve woken to a “fresh” morning, but no rain predicted, so I’ve decided to get another load of washing done in case the weather changes in the next day or so.
DD, hope all goes well for your re-opening. You deserve a good outcome after all your hard work. How’s Charlie managing with all the disruptions to school etc?
Ou heads don’t feel too bad this morning, so hopefully the vaccine affects ease a bit, 🙄
Morning folks up and about, done the dishwasher and determined to get a hot cup of tea for once. You have a curfew DD,5 o clock, would be dinner in my book,I don't eat after 6,my stomach objects. Forecast is rainy again, got 3huge bags of grandkids outgrown clothing, breast Cancer charity collection coming today but anytime between 8 and 3, course you have to leave the bags on the edge of the property. Also have my grandson,he threw up yesterday, has to have 48 hours off school. I have always been the childcare, since I just happened to have retired when he was 4, and the DWP said she had to go to work, I said I would do it, and we "bubbled" because my daughter is a single parent.

The new car does indeed sound very good Dove and I am envious of the sunshine you had.
I don't think @Yviestevie has posted lately, hope she's okay.

Another horrible, cold day.
This week is when Chelsea should be and we've got trees around which aren't even in leaf yet.
Looks overcast and damp out there ... the weather app calls it ‘haze’.
