@Obelixx I think @Pat E meant I'd done the puzzle before you, but when I did it your name was already there. I'm NewDawn.

OH said he'd ring at 6pm (French time) but he didn't and I've rung him and no answer. Why do I always worry when he doesn't answer? He said he'd put the phone in his pocket and take it to the bathroom when he's in the bath. Am I being too fussy? I think it's because of his hip.

Natural to worry @Busy-Lizzie.  Maybe he's switched it off by mistake or forgotten to wind up the battery?  Hope you get thru soon.

It's a landline, mobile doesn't have a signal. He's answered it. He went to Norwich and bought a jacket in M&S  :)

Good.  Never occurred to me a landline phone would be in a pocket.   Our mobile signal is exceedingly poor despite having a new mast only a few kms away.  Our "fixed" phone actually connect thru our modem.  Fake then.

    Evening all,

Glad you located OH and all is well @Busy-Lizzie, like you say such a worry being so far away.

Your chickens are doing very nicely there aren't they @Obelixx, definitely landed on their feet!  :)

I did quite a few jigsaws over the winter, I did find it relaxing - no time for it at the moemnt though. Great picture for one @Pat E

We have had salmon and chilli Fishcakes again, refined the recipe a bit, slighly hotter and more breadcrumbs than last time to get a nicer crunch. I used sweet potato to get a nice deep colour, a chicken tikka also made is sitting in the fridge ready for tomorrow, hopefully improving it's flavour.

Weather is rubbish, so wet, my poor plants are drowning out there! :o

I had a look at the long range forecast and it's not much better until the end of the month. I toyed with the idea of delaying our opening, but I have far too many bookings and the forecasts are so unreliable, it could turn out nice.... such a worry and dilemma. Everyone I talk to is saying peope are just desperate to get out and will come anyway. We have got the sails which give some protection, as long as it's not heavy rain, no use in strong winds though. The second interviewee was super, I have taken her on too. At least if it's not too busy they will all have time to learn the menu and the system properly. Feel like I am on a bit of a rollercoaster at the moment, my poor nerves.  :)

I am pleased to announce that Summer has officially started - I swapped over from Winter tyres to Summer tyres on the car today :D I meant to do it about a month ago but the weather wasn't playing ball.

I swapped to the summer duvet the other day, thinking I may have made a mistake.
