    Evening all
Hugs to @punkdoc and anyone else who needs one.
@D0rdogne_Damsel, I know , I know about the oil. Kinda had it in my mind that we're not using much, but it's been so cold this Spring, I reckon we have been.
    Hey ho.
    Lovely tulips

Bulb lasagnas don't work for me @AuntyRach.  By the time the last flowers appear the foliage from all the earlier layers just looks horrendous and the timings can be off script too so I took to doing groups of the same bulbs in their own pots and shuffling pots about as they came into bloom or went over.
My pots were a mini-lasgne this year .....more of a bolognaise with a thin topping of cheese sauce 🤣. There was a display of iris reticulata in them earlier in the year .....but the foliage is so thin that you don’t notice it amongst the beefy tulip leaves.  Works quite well, and you get two seasons of interest with the same planting .....Feb/Mar for the irises, a lull in April and the tulips now

Finally got to  splitting the 2nd large potted Hosta,  so from 2 we now have 6. New pots at back the older ones have been relocated to the  front garden and the 2 spares, will go to SD . Also re-potted the Eucomis, so from 3 pots we now have 7.  They had expanded so much they were distorting their old (plastic) pots. We will put them into planters on the steps, replacing the tulips when they are finished.

    Front garden ringing the changes.

Had some help with the pruning today. In the morning it was the buck.

And this afternoon it was the turn of the doe.

Love the photos of the deer. We don’t see them here.

Lovely sunny morning and not windy. Rain predicted for a couple of days, but we can live with that. I like the tales about the Herons. I never see them here, but we used to see them when we lived in Victoria.

Hope everyone has a good nights sleep.

    Morning all,

Very windy night here and a bit of a heavy downpour, I did hear thunder briefly, I've inspected the garden, a few droopy trees and rosebushes, but nothing too serious as far as I can see - relief.

New signage going up at CdeG today and then once he's finished I am going to tidy up the garden there, his ladders will hopefully not do too much damage, the sign is up on the garage wall next to my main flowerbed.

Lovely deer pics @steephill. and really beautiful tulips @chicky, so nice and neatly arranged too

  • Morning folks ... been up for a few hours. Proving harder than I thought it would be to get replacement director chair covers ( the canvas bit that makes the back and seat) in the right size at a reasonable price ... might have to buy the fabric and diy it. I'm sure my chairs are habitat or some such from years ago so can't be that non-standard, so entirely possible I am measuring wrong too! hi @Dovefromabove @D0rdogne_Damsel and @Pat E .. and I too loved the deer photos.
