Morning folks,I decamped to spare room, owing to an extremely loud warthog in my bed. When ever I go, the dogs have always come with me, when I stayed in there last week (night of vaccine,) and last night, they stayed in the matrimonial bed!  That's it, I'm divorcing the dogs
Hubby said he watched the weather forecast,,(he was up early, not woken by HIS own snoring) he said the Jetstream is "stuck," keeping us in cold air. That's complete different to what I heard at 11 last night. My cucumber I'd almost at the door,it's had enough of the conservatory! Hope you're feeling better Punkdoc. Oooh I love sweet potato curry, made a butternut squash one last week,in a minute am doing Greg Wallace Sri lankan potato/lental curry, not made it before.(visiting disabled sons today)

    Morning all.

Sky is blue and sun is shining now, but last night there was a storm and heavy rain, lightening lighting up the terrace.

    Morning all,

We've only 'discovered' sweet potato relatively recently @Nanny Beach but I use them quite a lot. I'd love to grow some but don't think conditions would suit! Plus they're so cheap to buy anyway.

Got loads to do this week but not sure where to start. I feel a list coming on ;)

    Good morning all.
    A bit more rain overnight.
Hubby on walkabouts last night again.
Started in his room, ended up in mine and I got up this morning to find his duvet and pillow on the sofa.

Seems like there was a lot of bed-hopping going on last night, folks!

It's a shame I don't have the space to try to grow everything that I'd like to @Nanny Beach. However, it sounds like sweet potato will definitely not make it onto the rota.

@Nanny Beach I often use chard instead of spinach. They’re very similar in many ways aren’t they?
@Biglad I think Bob Flowerdew has grown sweet potatoes here in Norfolk, and friends in Cornwall have done it ... but its too much faff for me   ... it’s tough enough finding warm enough space for the squashes and tomatoes ... I’ll stick to buying them from the market or supermarket 🙄

@Hostafan1 🤗  the rain has stopped here now and it’s brightening up. I
need to do some potting on of squashes and tomatoes ... I also have some to deliver to @WonkyWomble  later in the week 😃  ... it’s two weeks today since I had my second jab 👍

Unfortunately not @Nanny Beach. If and when the shed starts to collapse, I intend to replace it with a greenhouse, but that could be a good few years away.

I'll stick to 89p for a bag of sweet potatoes at the SM as well, d-fab. The climate in my neck of the woods won't be as warm as the tropics of Norfolk or Cornwall ;) I feel any attempt would be doomed to failure.
