Bless you DD, the joys of having your own business. My ex hubby had his own cleaning company,in the end after much hiring and firing, ended up with just the 2 of us,plus the kids emptying bins in offices. Was great fun ,(not,) did an early shift at the hospital, then collect kids from school, meal then out cleaning till 10,pm, couldn't clean the offices till the staff left

Thank you @Hostafan1, I hope so.....

@Nanny BeachI so don't want to get sucked in like that again, I have been doing it for 3 years, working evey hour and doing every job, I really was hoping to share the workload this season....we'll see.

Just very frustrating having gone through the selection process, meetings and  training and writing a staff rota around the needs of those recruited to be let down at the last minute.

The new sign looks fabulous @D0rdogne_Damsel 🍰 I really hope you can find some workers to lighten the load now. Love seeing your cakes and bakes, so we need you to have time to post pics!

    Edit: evening Spikey 🦔

Love the new sign DD, hope you find enough workers soon.

Loved the new programme on BB2 tonight about the building of the RHS's new garden, Bridgewater, in Greater Manchester - looks great but huge so lots to see. Re-opening next week apparently. It's not far from where my brother used to live in Worsley but when I looked at the online map, the district has changed so much I didn't recognise it.
Another programme is on next month so I'll look forward to that.

Great sign @D0rdogne_Damsel. I hope you find suitable staff. I thought people were crying out for work after all the Covid problem.

I've recorded the Bridgewater programme. Watched LoD and The Pursuit of Love - what a contrast!

Love your sign @D0rdogne_Damsel - yes, all cafes and restaurants seem to be recruiting like mad at the moment.  Hope you find some good solid help.  Love the hedgehog.  We used to get them in the garden but haven't seen one for ages.   Getting the sheets washed and dried is always such a faff isn't it @Dovefromabove?  Especially now when it is too wet/windy to put them outside and too warm to have the heating on during the day.  I'm off to bed.  Fingers crossed for a better night's sleep tonight as tomorrow looks like it could be a good gardening day.

Morning all.  We have a large rain cloud getting closer, so I suppose today won’t be a laundry day. 🙄

I love Spiky, Hosta. How do you keep birds out of there?

When I went out earlier to check the rain gauge, there were three Roos watching me from the slope behind the house. They duly watched me through the window eating my breakfast and are still lazing up there in the morning sun. 😁

DD, you are amazing!  Fingers crossed that the staff situation gets sorted out soon. It makes me tired to think about it.  Loved your new sign.

Obelixx, your chooks are onto you and OH. It doesn’t take them long to shoot in to where the good stuff is. 😳. I’ve got the same situation here with the birds. I put a good amount of wild bird seed in the feeder for young Rosellas who have just started to fly. (Green backs instead of red) Sure enough, the Choughs have arrived ‘en masse’ and the Rosellas will be lucky to find scraps. 😡.  Oh well, I guess they are all wild birds and need to keep their strength up.

    Have a good sleep all.

  • <Hugs> @D0rdogne_Damsel and hope you find some even better staff than the ones that dropped out. Great sign ( and great brand , I didn't know that was what it was called as you mostly post it  as CdG )
