    Morning all.

Was going to have a strip the beds washing and ironing week but rain announced for the week and sun all next week so I'll leave it until then.

We ate the first garden lettuce at the weekend, I'll be eating a lettuce a day for the next 2 weeks! Friends are coming to lunch on Wednesday, they can help.

Son 2 rang last night, his wife's baby is due in 2 weeks, he wanted to know if I could be on stand by. Of course I can! 14th grandchild.

Morning all,  we had heavy rain yesterday late afternoon and evening,  and it's still cool and damp now.  Enough rain, we need some Sun now.

Cold and windy here too, but I think it might improve warmth wise this week. I had better see what is still alive in the greenhouse. I hope you can get over to England for OH's op @Busy-Lizzie, it will be a weight off your mind. Another Grandchild, you will need a bigger house again!   :)

Exciting news about No. 14 @Busy-Lizzie 👶🏼.  I also hope you get back for OH’s op.  Are you waiting for 21st June?

We should have been going to Chelsea tomorrow.....would have spent a lot of time in the marquee methinks ☔️.  Would have been a desperate year for exhibitors too - drought and frosts all April, monsooons and cold in May .....rubbish.

Got contacted yesterday to rearrange my second jab ....to 2 days earlier than it was due to happen.  Someone is having to make a lot of phone calls for very little gain 🙄

More studying today, followed by a GH session - those tomatoes need moving on 🍅

    Morning all,

More rain this morning and it seems set for the day. Really do need to get the water butt connected up :o

We started this month with a 5 item wish-list for the garden:-

    - new back fence (panels x6, extra gravel boards x6)
    - guttering and water butt for the shed
    - BBQ
    - chiminea
    - power washer

As the OH and I often have contrasting views, there have been extended negotiations resulting in only two and a half ( ;) ) being acquired to date :D

Obviously, there is some construction/installation involved as well. So, to date, the only item purchased and fully operational (presumably) is the BBQ. It is currently in the shed. Pristine and unlikely to emerge for some time :( Flippin' typical, isn't it?

Should have bought the water butt and the chiminea @Biglad

I was hoping to go a little earlier @chicky, would waiting until the 21st make a difference?

I know - I clearly got my priorities wrong! I have actually bought the water butt @Busy-Lizzie, just haven't got the right bits to connect it to the downpipe from the shed gutter :(

A consensus has been reached on the chiminea but can't find anywhere that isn't out of stock.
