    Gorgeous Hosta image

Weather here is absolutely horrid ...... even the sheltered back garden is being badly buffeted by the blustery wind and rain.  image

I don't know who's in charge of the weather today but reckon they could ease up on the wind!   It's whipping round here at a  fair old lick.   Not friendly.

Painting then, now that we've got the shopping done.

    Gorgeous lily Hosta.

Afternoon all. Very windy and wet and grim here.

Hosta: I have no worries about turning the potential chicken run into a grow house: I've two greenhouses and the idea of building a frame between the two as extra sheltered growing.

And the French Open tennis has been rained off ....... life's getting quite tedious on the sofa image

Hosta ... sad about your oak tree image....... but a fallen oak branch is a fabulous wildlife habitat ...

OH has just braved storm and tempest to go into the village on his bike for something for supper .....

our mint usually grows in the 'damp corner' of the herb garden ........ it's up to it's knees in water.

Hosta, we have Verbascum horizontalis image

We have yet another branch off one of the ash trees and it's taken a smaller one with it.   Good job we plan to fell it anyway as it's a right mess now.    The wind is a lot less bracing now and it's dry so we've been for walkies after a raid on a builders' merchant to discuss paving slabs for the seating area.   Chappy not there but will call on Thursday.

Thence to a garden and agricultural supplies place where chappy advised me that glyphosate will not kill my nettles or docks or other deep rooted nasties that are refusing to die in my potager and sold me something else.  We'll see.

    What a day!

I have been very "Victorian" and sat upstairs, ( change of view) listened to my downloads and done some knitting. Had a couple of chats with pals on the old fashioned dog and bone and just served dinner

it is still raining but at least we didon't have the wind many fellow forkers seem to be suffering ☹️ Stay safe everyone, gardens can be fixed people cant
