Good that your Dad is out of hospital, Rebecca. Hope his legs feel a bit better each day.
Been to Doc about X rays. Mild arthritis in knee and hip, nothing to worry about yet, if they hurt then take painkillers. Arthritis in bottom 3 vertebrae and some scoliosis. They are quite rubbed but Doc says they can't replace them so painkillers and exercise, but gardening is not a good sort of exercise for backs! Cycling and swimming. But in order to cycle I'd have to go uphill on a bumpy stony track then there is a steep hill in both directions on the road! Don't have a bike. Pinched nerve is now better, unpinched.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sat outside and read and then watered some more of the garden, seems like a full time occupation this summer. I tend to do 1 or 2 beds a day, as that way they get a good soak, rather than try to get it all done, in which case they only get a sprinkle.
Just cooked a lovely piece of Cod, with a Chorizo and Tomato sauce. Very good, if I say so myself.
Mum moves into her new assisted living flat tomorrow, youngest sister is being a star and has organised everything.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Exercise is all very well BL, but look at me ... I take exercise and get injuries ... first my knee, then my wrist, after that my shoulder, now my foot I'm much healthier staying sat on the sofa
Pdoc ... sounds like a lovely day youve had there ......... best of luck to your mum for her move ... I hope she soon makes new friends and feels really settled there Sister's can be brilliant .... or so my brother tells me
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Evening all, I am so stressed I am buzzing, but it is a sort of good stress if you can understand that.
My days are completely full, I have a meeting tomorrow with a web designer for the new business and have rehearsals with my school children for a big show on Saturday (end of year), why did I volunteer myself???
Charlie is getting extremely jealous of the time I am devoting to C de G, I am helping with a school trip on Thursday but might not now be able to make it as the solicitor may want me to sign documents that morning. I have discussed the menu again with him and asked for suggestions for children's meals/drinks - what a balancing act.
I read back a bit but really need to sleep now, I am still thinking about the potential 'long bed' and will soon be posting before pics and begging for ideas.
Punkdoc, I think you are an amazing person, your personality shines through this forum.

Beautiful drawing Pat. i could have looked at them for hours, what a steady hand!
rebecca glad your dad discharged.
Busy isn't it an amazing emotion when our offspring soar up and up and up Congratulations after all he learnt it all from you! Glad the x ray results not too bad. When my disc "bulged" I avoided surgery by having a forward thinking surgeon who agreed with me doing intensive Physio and pilates It worked and have to say the Pilates was hugely helpful. Do they have any classes nearby? A lot of Physio's do it
Punk I am glad for your mum and you are right you are blessed with the best sister possible, keep telling her! You sound as if you have moved on today in researching options for your own care too
DD you are whirling round and round with so much to do but soon it will all settle down. We have all been amazed at your strength and watched you overcome every hurdle now you have an end in sight.
off to do grannie duties in London tomorrow thank goodness it's cooler
off to the land of Nod

I think swimming's the safest form of exercise, BL; glad the pinched nerve is better, at any rate.
Hope your mum settles quickly in the new flat, Punkdoc. And it's really great news about your new specialist - hope you find him helpful.
Best wishes for your dad's recovery, Rebecca.
Sleep well everyone!
