The neighbour who was using power tools most of  yesterday has been using them again since 9.30 this morning.  It's way too hot to have the doors and windows shut.

I wouldn't dream of saying anything to them ... understand that they probably have no time other than weekends to do whatever it is they're doing.  Please forgive me if I have a teeny whinge on here.   I'm trying very hard not to let it get under my skin and spoil my day  image image

We have  neighbour whose normal voice is foghorn Dove . As you say can't close doors too hot.  But I did ask him to stop shouting and he did .just enjoying the quiet for as long as. it lasts . Strangely he doesn't take offence.

Idont seem to have many worms inthis garden .Do you think this is detrimental? If so what can I do about it.

cats all asleep on bed . Think I will join them and read . Take care all.

Ps Idont call that  a whingeDb  (mild obsevation)?

     Occasional flights into reality. B)

Few power tools on and off in neighbouring gardens here too Dove ?

Also, paddling pool screeches, BBQ wafts, flute practice (?!) and general jovial-ness noises. Worse stuff tho...

Just sat in a traffic jam - thank goodness for air-con! Popped to SM - not a burger nor roll to be had!

    That's cooler Dove!

Did have a pic of my thermometer but can't post that currently. Can't compete with 35.8 though!

Similar temps here, Dove.  Luckily, a few fluffy clouds have appeared so getting a bit more tolerable out there!

Dove, the French always shut their doors and windows in the mornings when it's hot to keep the night cool in and the day's heat out.

Two daughters, 5 GCs and 2 OHs have just gone. We were all at son's yesterday. They spent most of the time here in the pool. The new pool filter is working very well, haven't seen the water so sparkly for years, and even though it started going green when we came back from England it quickly recovered. 33° in the shade.

We were going to have a BBQ for lunch but OH had removed the gas bottle and the thingy to attach it with. We found a gas bottle in the garage and a thingy in the kitchen behind the scales, but no one could make it work. So we had fried pork chops and sausages instead. The 2 SIL's and elder daughter made salads and got it all ready as I'm not very mobile. I'd made pork pies on Friday so we had that as a first course as we had to share the chops as I didn't know until this morning that daughter 2 would stay for lunch.

My right hip has been getting steadily more painful for the last 2 weeks. It ached a bit during the Strawberry Tea and more afterwards. Earlier this week I did a lot of gardening on my knees which made me very stiff. But since Thursday when OH went to England, it has got a lot worse. I can hardly get out of bed in the morning and getting off the sofa and out of the car is pretty bad too. The sofa is no longer comfy. I can't sleep properly. When I went to son's yesterday he and daughter thought I looked ill. Still painful today, but now it's spreading to the base of my spine. I already have arthritis in my right shoulder and right knee. Could it be arthritis in the hip? I keep thinking I will wake up and it will be gone or, at least, getting better. Shall go to the Doc tomorrow, but he wasn't much help about shoulder or knee, apart from a prescription for Paracetamol.

Fed up, so much to do before my garden opening in July, then the long drive to England.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Busy, you need a good rest.....that's an order.

I didn't go back up to the hosp last night as my arthritic hip was agony.. . slope up from the car park and endless corridors twice a day taking it's toll.  I'm not going back tonight either.

I said I would sit and hold OH's arm for a few hours tomorrow so he could have IV fluids.  He pulled it out twice today.

    Busy ((hugs))  REST!!!

Ma discovered that her arthritis pain was made much worse by tomatoes, aubergines etc and her doctor said there is some evidence for it http://www.arthritis.org/living-with-arthritis/arthritis-diet/anti-inflammatory/the-arthritis-diet.php

She also said that strawberries made it worse image

Joyce ((hugs)) you get some REST too!!!
