Well done Pdoc - what an achievementimage

Lots of negativity around today - but I am off to bed smiling.  Don't ask me to articulate why, but it feels like we have turned a corner ...

Think I might have persuaded MrC that tomorrow might be a good time to see Sissinghurst in all its rosy glory image

Good news for you and your supporters Punkdoc. I'm a Labour voter too. I remember my father saying to me when he took me down to vote for the first time, that the Liberal party is for rich people, and the Labour Party is for the working people.image. Ive never forgotten his comments and have never regretted it.

still cold and overcast here. Would like a little bit of sun for a change.

    sleep well all.

    Morning Pat.

It's really annoying when a post goes into thin air.  I hope it's not too cold for you today.

Expecting it to be showery again today.

Hello Joyce. Yes, I don't know why it happens sometimes.

the weather has been cold and damp, so I've been staying inside mostly, except for essential outside jobs.

we only got a half mm rain overnight, and it was just enough to make everything damp. Managed to get two loads of washing put, but I suspect it'll still be there overnight . The sun has just now appeared at 3.30 pm. Bit late for any drying as it'll be dark in an hour.image

Pat, I didn't realise it got dark so early with you in your autumn.

It's hard to believe that we soon be at midsummer's day as we haven't had much in the way of summer weather for a while.

Joyce, I agree. the season are all strange lately. We went from hot summer through a very brief autumn and then straight into winter. The TV people always say the seasons change on the 1st of the month, but I still work on the 21st or 22nd. My mother always used to,say that after my birthday on the shortest day, she could look forward to the days getting longer. image

Yum, Dove. I'm wishing Hubby would make his promised move into the kitchen. I'm getting hungry. Dark outside.

    Morning All!

bacon is in the fridge, the kettle is on, there's a choice of

    1. rhubarb crumble

    2. burnt cinder toffee (very sweet but oh so moreish)

    3. raspberry and cream

homemade ice cream in the freezer

and it's currently belting it down so no gardening just yet! If I can get the strawberries in from the garden I'll make some strawberry ice cream tomorrow.

I need to decide whether this week's treat is cake or biscuits. Can't have both; meant to be trying to loose weight!
