Busy day today: psychiatrist followed by talking therapy [ CBT ], normally leaves me utterly exhausted, plus I now hate going back to the hospital, even though I worked there for over 20 years.
Have a good day.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Morning. Very fresh here this morning. We just had a fine misting of rain a just enough to dampen the washing on the line, but not enough to water the plants so pots will be hosed again this morning.
Regarding Sweet Peas - I have perennial ones but they don't have a fragrance (!?!?) so did annual ones this year - not ready to flower yet though... can't wait for my first bunch!
I have a list of jobs to do today that have been waiting for a cooler day: trip to the bank, cleaning the fridge, putting away three baskets of dried washing... ? Expect I can put those all off just a bit longer though as want to do some gardening as well.
Punkdoc: hope you can find time to do some GBT too (gardening behavioural therapy) - works for me.
Hope it's not as bad as you think it's going to be Pdoc ......... have you told the therapist how you hate going back to the hospital ... are there no alternative venues? ((hugs))
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove, I've been clearling a load of stuff by the lake, but I think it'll be a couple of years before it's really ready for replanting so I thought I'd have some by the pond, and stick some in nursery beds in "the allotment"
I always grow sweet peas, every year I say "never again" then they flower and I am smitten ......
Punk good luck today, I had to wait 21/2 hours on Tuesday. I used to work in hospitals and I know exactly how out patient clinics should work so I get very frustrated. Especially at the lack of information passed on to patients The first thing I was taught was that Waiting Rooms should be empty! I havent seen a patients charter up on a wall in years.
I am still not getting notifications. Don't think Nora has got my messages either. Any suggestions?

Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne
Clari I love seaholly, might add it to the planned Japanese area.
PD hope it goes ok at the hospital. Do you still see people you worked with or have they moved on?
Hosta, love the 'story' . I was present for a social care assessment last week, the social worker wanted to ask the guy if he would consider moving out of family home (expensive option for council) and into residential care (less expensive), he struggled how to say it and asked if he wanted to live with other errr errr men! His mother translated - do you want to live with other disabled people? Of course he didn't .
Anyway of to the garden, then must do paperwork especially tax retur
I had quite a shredd-a-thon earlier this year it's amazing how much you can accumulate!
The sky is overcast in Yorkshire today and still warm but much improved from yesterday. My parents had visited a garden centre and were absolutely sweltered. Luckily they have a cooling fairly quiet fan for bedtime. I slept on top of my bed last night - far too warm to be under cover. It's nice to curl up with a book.
Many years ago, when my mum still worked, she had a similar episode concerning a young lady called Laura...who used a wheelchair.
Needless to say Laura thought it was hysterical and described it as her USP!
My mum suggested to the HR trainers that before they did any more "courses on what you can't say" they should liaise with the "people you're not allowed to say it about"!

I had a series of CBT sessions a number of years ago, it was in someone's house. Less intimidating.
Dove, I've been clearling a load of stuff by the lake, but I think it'll be a couple of years before it's really ready for replanting so I thought I'd have some by the pond, and stick some in nursery beds in "the allotment"
Morning,
much cooler here bit of mist on the hill
Clari can you not get non drowsy antihistamine?
