Hello everyone. I'm glad I can ignore all that political stuff. imageimage

TV is on, dinner is ready, hoping we don't get our usual non-so-popular visitor tonight, but we won't know until she rings to say she wants to come around. image

Weve been cold today, but luckily I've been occupied with lazy,  relaxing,  colouring and Hubby is working on genealogy with a second cousin - thank goodness for Skype. It would have cost a fortune otherwise. image

Pat - I can't remember where your hubby's ancestors hail from but, if any of them are from Suffolk in England and he'd like me to do some research using the Parish Records do get in touch. I'm at our local archive office every week and love digging and delvingimage

Thanks very much for the offer Topbird. As far as he knows he doesnt have any from there - mostly Isle of Man, Ireland and Scotland. I'll keep it in mind though if he does track any to Suffolk.

Topbird, he's decided there is someone from there from the 1600s, so I'll pm you when he gets himself organised to tell me. image Don't hold your breath.

Warm and sunny here in Dordogne. Came back from son's last night. Really need to get into the garden, everything has grown so much since Sunday.

Obelixx, you asked about the restaurant on May's thread. I was in Burgundy (Bourgogne), not round here. The restaurant is in Joigny. There is a 2 Michelin star one, but it wasn't that as the cheapest menu is 78€. It was the one owned by his sister, 30€ for 3 course lunch with a glass of wine and coffee included. It was very good and there were a lot of people for a Thursday lunchtime. There was an outdoor terrace but we sat inside because of baby Elise. It's by the river that runs along the town.

I tried to post a photo, but it won't post. I'll probably have to wait until after 11pm. When you have good Internet photos post easily on this new site, but when you don't then I wish we had the old site back.
