That is a very good idea, I shall try and look into that.
I quite like the idea of being a hero, but if you see what some of the kids in the armed services do, they are genuine heroes and we don't look after them at all well, when they leave the services.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Thanks will look out for that sleep programme. after retiring from 25 years of nights, sleep huh, forgotten what its like! Hubbys head hits the pillow and he s gone. So hot, got to set alarm, this week, so hot couldnt sleep, bloke cam to service boiler, was due 8.30-9.30, wokeup up a 8 by dogs, just about to stagger out of bedroom (starkers!) Hubby stopped me, dont come out, why I say, cos the plumber is the other side of the door!! Tomorrow my wilflower turf is oming at 8.30, yeah, am setting alarm, just in case, got to get up early and do serious watering.
Wish I'd seen about Gardener's World being on tonight earlier. Managed to record half of it. I'll have to look for a repeat.
Internet has been a pain in the neck today.
Have picked more raspberries and broad beans and given raspberries to a friend who has given me eggs in return.
Went for X Rays this afternoon. Arthritis in right knee and bottom 3 vertebrae. A pinched something in hip, but need to see Doc for translation, all in French medical speak.
Been 34°, 30° in bedroom now, have opened the windows and put a fan in there now the temp has dropped a bit.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Well, I s'pose it's good to get a diagnosis so you can have a plan of action ... Life doesn't get any easier once you hit 27 does it? Sleep tight BL xx
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Pdoc - can you not get yourself referred to another psycho? You surely have good enough reasons that should be respected or it's all counter-productive isn't it?
Went out to the new bed in the potager to plant about 70 red onions growing in modules and the flies on the cows seemed to think I was a midsummer feast. Had to retreat for fly repellent spraying purposes but some still didn't take the hint. Haven't felt so full of holes in years.
Just back from dance class - jive, paso doble, cha-cha and tango - all nice cooling stuff for a heatwave - NOT! but it is cooler now at a mere 28C. We may get a shower on Wednesday apparently but I won't be counting on it.
Sleep well all but, if you can't, do something to distract your brain from worrying about not sleeping but do't watch the news. Too depressing.

Morning all. Friday morning and the house is quiet and peaceful. Hubby and son have gone to town, so just me and his lovely little cat to snuggle up to. She is such a sweetie!
the fog hasnt lifted yet, but there are sneaky little indications that it won't be long and then it'll be a lovely mild sunny winters day. I might even get out to the garden, although there isn't much that needs attention except weeding and that can wait.

Starting to prepare or Glastonbury now.
Not going unfortunately, but may camp in the garden and watch all of it on TV.
I think I shall be very tired come Monday.
