Good morning to the rest of you .... I've got an exciting morning ahead .... not only is Wonky on here way here, but apparently son is popping in on his way to collect some equipment from Lincolnshire
A bit like buses, my offsprung
OH is being very brave ... he is going to John Lewis to choose and buy a knitting pattern and yarn for me to knit requested woolly hats for son ... I've written everything I can think of down, and told him to find one of the nice knitting experts in John Lewis and tell her (probably but not necessarily a her) that she can ring me to check if need be.
I'm nearly at the end of Wonky's jumper and I'll go stir crazy if I'm stuck here with limited mobility and no knitting Wish OH luck
Hope Mrs Pdoc is soon feeling much better

Dove, don't forget to warn him to make sure the balls of wool are ALL from the same dye lot. The mess I had to sort out when Hubby and son bought a supply was a pain.
Morning all. I was really tired last night. Son 2 rang to ask if we wanted to go and see his new house in the evening, but I was just dishing up dinner and we were too tired. I think he's a bit fed up we couldn't go over the weekend because of the Strawberry Tea, but we could have gone yesterday afternoon if he'd asked earlier. This week should be quieter and I should be able to get on with the weeding. OH is going to England on Thursday to see friends and family.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
we had dogs for many years and we love them.now we have cats3.Bruno Casper andRufus.
exchanged rolling in . poo to clearing it from cat litter. Before anyone says how they destroy plants and kill wildlife iknow. We have a large cat run just outside our back door .they never go any further than that and are quite happy .Ilove my cats but I am aware of how destructive they can be. They make me laugh every day. They are areal tonic.
Pat, hopefully the shop assistant will see to that .... they usually do .... in my experience the John Lewis habidashery staff are excellent, without exception ... and a woolly hat shouldn't really take much yarn should it? Fingers crossed anyway

Cool and fresh here and very pleasant. My newly sprayed metal table frame is now on teh terrace, resplendent with glass top which is very shiny so we need a cloth or an umbrella. The last - I hope - coat of red has gone on the LP shelving thingy and I'm having a coffee break before tackling the chair seats and wardrobe thingy with white satin paint.
OH is ironing and watching rugby so he's all done and dusted before the mega clean of house tomorrow. Friends arriving Thursday and he's golfing on Wednesday ad is not escaping h****work.
This pm he's on strimming paths thru the long grass so we can all wander about without disturbing snakes. Possum says when she comes in summer she's only leaving the house to go to the car and has been having nightmares since OH told he'd found a pair frollicking. I hope it's just exam fever.
Hope you and Wonky have a good time Dove and that OH gets it right. Busy - funny how offspring don't think of their parents as having busy lives. Hope you get to see his new house soon.

Hello to all I've missed. Hope it's a good day.

Punk, I once hid all OHs shoes in the washing machine, I knew he would never look there.
It worked
Hope Mrs P has an easy day. Is she in your line? It would explain her dedication!

Hi LP
No, she used to be a nurse when we met, but now does something I don't understand with communications and organising conferences.
