I have been out to inspect the damage on our ash tree and decided to take of the lower branches of the walnut tree so we can sail past on the mower without losing our heads. Another fine mess for OH to clear up when he gets back from golf. Minstrel helped by climbing th tree and out along the branches I was tidying up!
Must go and do some painting.
T'bird - glad you had a good day despite adversity.

Luckily, we'd already decided this is a tree that has to go so aren't worried but there's plenty of wood hanging by just a tear of bark for OH to clear away. To add to the fun, I've trimmed the skirts of the walnut

I sort of imagine Fairy to be struggling to the surface of a great big heap of political party rosettes
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

A tree cutting day?
Council came this morning to cut down an ash tree that was touching the roof and have also cut a lot of
lower branches from the lime tree that was overhanging the garden. Much more light getting into garden and the kitchen
That's good Joyce and will make a huge difference to light levels especially in winter.
Just had a late lunch and am no debating whether to plant or carry on painting..........
