Half a dozen spots here yesterday, but none of the promised downpour yet today...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

One big splodge of rain on my head and now it's bright sunshine .

Hope you enjoyed your cake dove.

Just got in from planting 12 plants . My other half can't resist something strange ?

    Afternoon all.

Unfortunately I'm already on the non drowsy anti histamines; I have the strangest of reactions to drugs sometimes (like anaesthetic being almost entirely ineffective).

We are having the cloud, the grey, the big drops but not enough to keep the garden watered.

Other half isn't pregnant apparently; I'm still waiting to find out what the exciting news is.

Hope you're having a lovely day today Pat! image

    Hi all.

I am home. A day spent mainly in busy waiting rooms, in sweltering heat, desperately hoping not to be recognised.

I have no idea why a place I loved for 15 years, now fills me with complete dread.

Psychiatrist is annoyed because of my jaunts to war zones, fair enough.

CBTherapist pleased with my positive attitude.

Time for a sleep before cooking tea.

Pdoc ((hugs)) ........  is there nowhere else you can see your psychiatrist and therapist ........ it seems to me to be totally counter productive for you to keep being tortured by revisiting the place that meant so much to you and  where it all went wrong ...........

Have you spoken to them about how visiting that hospital makes you feel?

It must seem like a particularly cruel form of aversion therapy image

Happy Birthday Pat, Dove stop the plate spinning love! Punckdoc, glad at least the CBT is helping.

Yes I have Dove, but unfortunately, that is where they work, so I am left with no choice.

I have thought about adopting a disguise of some sort.

At least it is better than it was when I was visiting the psychiatrist monthly.

    Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Nanny Beach, the programme was called "The Secrets of Sleep". Last night was the first of three episodes.

Pdoc ... what were we saying the other day, in another context, about the inflexibility of some medics and the need for a more holistic approach.  It seems to me that you're being set up to fail. ((hugs))

PDoc; you know I'm only a simple little bear but it really doesn't seem to be the best of things to take you back to the same hospital. Like picking a scab never helps healing.

But, what with your conflict experience which I am going to imagine is rather beyond the NHS capabilities, would it not be worth contacting Doctors Without Borders or even Help 4 Heroes to see if they can recommend someone away from the hospital?
