Hi everyone. Lovely cool sunny day here today, so we've been out the back (again) getting firewood.

That was a photo of  some nice reflections on one of the dams, but I forgot the site wasn't working Yet. When it eventually comes up, you'll notice how low the water level is. Just as well we don't have livestock to keep watered. The Roos and wombats seem to cope. I guess it's because they are born to our environment.image

Another lovely day yesterday - Les Sables d'Olonnes for the market and a stroll.  We bought clams for spaghetti vongole and prawns and a crab for starters and whilst OH took it back to teh car to stick in the fridge our friends had oysters and a glass of wine in a little bar where a chap was entertaining all the shoppers with song and guitar.

Strolled round the pedestrian bits and then the front - OH and Mrs paddled the whole way while Mr and I stayed sand free on the esplanade.  Lots going on as they're having a weekend promoting air activities with flight displays and stunts in small planes and micro-lights doing stuff.  I prefer gliders myself.

Fishy lunch round at the port and then another stroll and home for dinner.  Today is a trip on the Vendée steam train and then they're off to Bordeaux to see a nephew.

Scorchio here in the mid 30s but fine if you don't have to work or garden.  Watering pots takes an hour at the mo so we'll be sweating over new beds when they've gone so I can get plants in the ground and mulched.

Yesterday I took photos of trees wearing socks in La Rochelle.   They'll have to wait to be shared.

Have not seen any news and plan not to for a couple of days.

I hope all they injured, wounded, sickly or wobbly are getting better.  Happy Fathers' Day to those concerned and Sunday greetings to all.

Morning all . Happy Fathers Day to all dads.

Slept in this morning. Hope those who are not well are feeling brighter.

Seems as though most of us are having baking weather. Will have to watch that planters don't dry out. Very hot during the night ,Bruno,Casper andRufus slept on the bed .Abit  crowded. (They are my cats)

Morning all. Due to the weather conditions here (bloomin' lovely!) all gardening activities are restricted to shaded areas only or between the hours of 6pm and 9am. This way the risk of sweating, sunburn and general hot-and-bothered-ness will be reduced!

I hope you are all enjoying the Summery weather.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
