    Afternoon all.

Hosta - I did put the heating  on last night.

There's a cold wind but it's drying the washing.

We could do with having some of the heat back as it's more like the end of March up hereimage

Sad today, another friend has died, cancer again. She was an English friend who has a house here that they were hoping to retire to, but was being treated in England. We went to see her the end of April on our way to Norfolk. She was my age.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not good news Busy and a bit young too.     I hope you're OK.

Hope you warm up soon Joyce.

Must get on and so some stuff now.  I've been distracted googling around trying to find good, fish free food for the kittens after seeing that bit on Trust me I'm a Vet about fish products causing kidney problems in later life cos cats are carnivores and can't process cereals and fish products.   Boggling lack of info and suppliers out there.

That is sad Busy - it always seems even harder when it is someone your own age.

    Hope everyone ok today.

Afternoon all, Haven't been around or a while as I have just done a marathon nanna duty.  Secondborn has been doing some moderating to save extra cash for her wedding in August.  The weather has been glorious hasn't it.  A bit cooler now and I've been busy catching up on gardening  this morning.  Lots of deadheading and tidying.

Have been having to take it steady as back is really playing up (think it's sleeping in a different bed).  Had a day with Merri yesterday, went shopping at Merry Hill and then went out for a Turkish Meal last night.  Don't spend as much time with her these days so it was lovely to have the day together.

Haven't read back but hope everyone is well.

I'm no lady, but if pruning is essential, do it in late winter, before the " sap rises " .
