My ornamental cherry tree is fit to burst this year. I think it's knows that this year may be it's last (unfortunately it's home has been marked as where the garage will be).
I'm already trying to work out whether I can squeeze in another cherry tree to replace it once the works are done.
I'm here on the sofa with books, phone, etc and a bowl of muesli and yoghurt.
DD ... I'd woken up early and thought I'd peek out of the window to see if the muntjac was about ... then of course I was wide awake so just thought I'd look and see who else was awake ... don't worry, I went back to sleep and didn't wake again until 6.30 when OH's alarm went off.
Clari ... I'd surround that pond with a large bed of grasses, and low growing leafy perennials that will provide lots of cover for frogs to sit near the pond and contemplate the meaning of life ... that's what ours do.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Can't help feeling for those who have to " retrieve" bodies and for those who have to identify them. Grim beyond measure. So many asleep on those upper floors. Hideous .
My father used to fit sprinklers, including QE2 and Royal Yacht and I can't help thinking that more buildings should have them fitted. A sodden flat, supermarket, hotel room etc is better than charred corpses.
Lovely to hear you so happy DD. How your life has changed and we all knew you could do it! You have never shied away from hard work and like Joyce I am delighted to hear your sellers were Scottish, bound to be generous and friendly!!
Joyce glad to hear thing improving for OH
Clari where do you leave Reggie when you go to work, does he have access to your pond?

Suspicion is now on the cladding of the tower block. Last year that was the problem in one the hotel fires in Dubai.

Morning Dove
How is your foot/ankle?
Morning Joyce
It's improving thanks ... I can hobble about without the zimmer, as long as I've got my big black boot on.
