I no longer stay up for the results. I leave the bedside radio on and hear results intermittently.

If everyone had to pay £2 per item the wastage would fall dramatically and I think everyone could affford it I work in a pharmacy and it's shocking how much is wasted and the attitude is it's all free, lady in today had 28 soluble aspirin on prescription. She was moaning because she had to come back for more every month. I suggested she buy them" I get them free why should I pay? " what can you do? And £8.60 is nothing compared to the price of some products believe me.

Got busy today and found ourselves with too little time for dinner and showers before dancing so showers won.   Dancing was good but hard work as there were just two couples there so no respite or rest.   Came home in a thunder storm to cook an easy wholemeal spaghetti alio, oilo, peperoncino and pour a large glass of wine.

I shall have a second glass and then go to bed.   Can't cope and staying up to watch won't change anything tomorrow.

In Belgium, prescriptions are subsidised according to status which includes age, illness, able bodied or not, long term illness or not, permanent condition or not which seems logical to me.   Painkillers and so on are only available from pharmacies, not supermarkets or drugstores.  So far, France looks similar but I haven't had need to explore further yet.

Fairy - good to see you popping in again.

Clari - maybe have an open day on a weekend when more people might be free?  Get publicity on local radio, social media etc.   Sounds very disappointing and hospices are so important.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Ob; I didn't organise the event. Truth be told I rather gate crashed it with my pop up display! A corporate company organised it and out all the work in.

You can't lead a horse to water I believe is the correct saying but I'm sure the locals would have something a little less poetic.

For all of you that supported me with my silly long hours at the last job. In my 3 weeks I'm now owed a days time off in lieu! I shall enjoy taking it and treating myself to a trip to a museum I've been meaning to visit for years.

Well, someone's got a bloody nose haven't they?  The British electorate will tolerate a lot but they do not like arrogance and hubris ... Looks like there's been a lot of tactical voting.

Lets see what happens next ...

I think everyone should vote, but there has to be a "none of the above because I don't agree with any of them"

    See original post

And apparently that is what we voted for

    Well. Ha Ha Ha

Theresa Me Me Me : I hope you've seen the British People don't agree with your own ego trip.

The arrogance with the woman dragging us into an election with less than a fortnight before formal Brexit talks begin., and failing miserably.

The country is now in a total mess and it's a mess of Me Me Me May's own making.

If she has a single shred of dignity; she'll quit. I don't expect her to do so. Her ego won't let her.

    I wonder how punkdoc is.
