Morning all.  Typing standing up - the most comfortable position for my back at the moment.  image  It might be a while before I'm doing much in the way of strenuous exercise; though I believe I need to keep moving, whatever.

At least I'm not missing out on prime gardening weather!  Like the rest of the country (apart possibly from NW Scotland) we have wall-to-wall rain again.  Our heating comes on automatically if the temperature in the living room dips below 17, so we're hovering on the brink... and wearing extra woollies.

Good news from Serbia, Hosta, though I suspect she may not have an easy time...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Afternoon all.

CT Scan shows " calcification of the adrenal glands" Nothing abnormal with kidneys. I'm going for a blood test to look at Cortisol levels .

It also shows my lower back isn't in great shape with thinning of the discs. Great. Something else to look forward to.

    Devon.

Afternoon all,  Persisting down here, had enough rain now and could do with sunshine coming back.  Have had a lovely day, a long lie in followed by a trip to the spa for a deep tissue back massage and a facial, bliss.

Nothing planned for the rest of the day, too wet to do anything outside and definitely not doing any h*******k.

I suspect I'll be catching up on some reading and tv.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day.

Mixed blessings there Hosta. At least the kidneys are ok and you've got some idea of what's going on, but on the down side, sounds very uncomfortable. I hope they can do something to stop the sudden cramps.  Best wishes to you.

Afternoon all. I've been having one of those three steps back kinds of day. More like three steps and a long jump but never mind.

Glad your kidneys are looking okay Hosta. Spines are a bloody silly design; I remember looking at my own MRI thinking "pft I could have designed better".

    Thanks Ladies.

If spines are a crappy old piece of design, I'd like to see the thought process which went into Knees!!!!

On a plus note, Cortisol levels might be linked to my hideous sleep patterns, so fingers crossed there.

Hosta I was just thinking about the adrenal glands which are near to each kidney.   Suffering with pain is very tiring.  I hope you have something to take for your back, spine problems.   Is there anything you can wear to help?   Still raining here so been cleaning today. TV playing up with the weather but I have a book to read later. There is a warm cosy presence on my knee, it's Bruno.  Hopefully they can help you with your hormones.

It's amazing what you learn by being on here.  I googled adrenal glands and cortisol.   Who knew?  Apart from PD and any other medics of course.

We have had more rain.  Lovely stuff.   More expected.  I quite like June when it's behaving normally.   Ideal for planting out my babies if I get a mo between entertaining rellies.   Both kittens fast asleep upstairs on their sheepskin and both dogs having extra cuddles from the "uncle and aunts".  I think purring cats and dogs are great for healing body and soul.

Senior SIL is asleep after a bad night and an early start.  The Spanish hake dish will wake her up.  Usually mild chili is quite perky.

As long as there's no high jump Clari.
