Hi Punkdoc. Hope you all are asleep over there.

Im staying out of all political discussion - the fact is that there has to be someone in charge.

Punkdoc, I will vote. I've always voted, but for the first time, I'm voting for the least bad option.

I'd go further and say I believe voting should be a legal requirement. Even ,as Sue Perkins said on last leg last night, " spoil your paper, draw a kn*b on it, but turn up and vote"

I remember weeping when Apartheid was scrapped and folk walked for 2 days to cast a vote. Some, NOT ALL, folk in this country sit on their backside and say it's not worth the bother , then do nothing but complain about the government. If you don't vote, you've got no right to complain.

Overtime today and it's a lovely sunny morning. Yesterday's rain didn't amount to much at all.

Hello again ... I'm downstairs and ensconced on the sofa surrounded by phone, books, bananas, water, yoghurt etc and my lunch has been prepared and left ready for me too.

OH is at work, but after today he'll be at home for four days image

Today will probably consist of noodling with you lot, reading, knitting, R3, the French Open, the Derby  and some online plant porn ...........

It's a bit cool and cloudy this morning - perfect for going to the brocante in the next village for a nosey and then gardening this pm.   Following yesterday evening's discovery of two amorous Whestern Whip snakes I shall have to get OH to strim us some access paths thru the bottom of the garden where we've left the grass to grow long.  Then we and the dogs and cats ca walk through seeing were we're putting our feet and not disturb them.

I am still on furniture duty.   More sanding and oiling and filling of holes and then, all being well, I can leave it to cure for a week before painting.   We got out our teak garden table alst night and that needs a good clean too and then there are new chair seats to paint.............

Sounds like a good time to have a broken foot Dove  as long as you like tennis.  By the time Wimbledon's over you should be fit to hobble.

    Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning, Glad to see you are all well, (or being well cared for at least Dove.) I am trying not to fret over the election but I will be glad when a decision has been made, the unknown is causing all sorts of problems here believe it or not.image

A friend of mine has just come back from Finland and the pictures looked absolutely wonderful, enjoy Liri. image

Lilly, can you try and get a sneaky photo of the menu for me? image Always looking for new ideas. I made Bruschettas last night with all different ingredients, pear, peaches, cherries, chorizo, radish and a variety of cheeses, ricotta, philadelphia and mozzarella as well as the tomato and onion. They looked very pretty and tasted nice, but they were a lot of faffing around, trying to strike a balance is tricky. image

I was very happy to see the news on Ireland too, as Hosta said they have come a long way in a short time, and most importantly in the right direction, unlike some places we won't name. image

Right, back to work, well another coffee first maybe. image Good day to all.
