Good morning all image  G'day Pat image

The rain seems to have stopped for a while here Hosta ..... but it could do with warming up a bit now ... it's the second day of the Royal Norfolk Show so we were expecting rain ... apparently  the car park is a bit of a mess

That car park looks messy Dove. We've had no rain to speak of for ages - just wet fog.

i wondered if a Hosta would like to swap with us?

    Morning all.
Been raining here too, only 12° this morning. Garden is looking bashed and soggy.

Punkdoc, why don't you go with OH? Treat it as a little holiday, find a garden to visit, or something, while she's working and wine and dine her in the evenings. image

Morning, woke before 5, heard OHs alarm do the little "tick", thought nah, I cant do much in the garden, its rained 3 days solid, ironic, having conservatory re-built next week (praying NO rain!) and had to disconect the 2 water butts from the old conservatory, to start getting stuff out of the way, - its new soffits, wood underneath also rotten, all 4 sides, gutters, etc, couple of new windows, conservatory roof has been leaking a year, just as well really because it would HAVE to come off to do soffits. However, we h laid wildflower meadow Friday, so at least didnt have to water it.

    Hi all.

It's certainly grim up north today, I am going to look for a film to watch, but have still resisted putting the heating on.

Morning everyone.  Warmer today, still raining, but just a light drizzle.  Cats queueing up for Dreamies this morning.  I might try one myselfimage.  Watching Victoria Derbyshire this morning looking very summery in a short sleeve pink gingham dress.     The parents are talking about their son, Jihadi Jack who travelled  to Syria.  They were discussing his childhood. They were also talking about tolerance which they feel is lacking today.   Enjoyed blueberry shredded wheat this morning and some PG tips with a little cinnamon and lemon juice which is supposed to cleanse your/some of your organs or so advised on the internet.  Did some exercise on the floor this morning to help strengthen my core.  I have a Pineapple rubber rowing thingummybobs courtesy of QVC about £14.  You put your feet in the straps straighten your legs, laid down, and pull yourself using your core and with the much needed assistance of my pink thingummybobs.  It does work.  I just do 10 slowly in the morning which does help tighten stomach muscles and core and overtime slims your stomach.

Not possible for those of us with dodgy vertebrae tho.

18C here with heavy grey clouds, occasional shwoers and gusts of wind which make the silk tree dance about like a whomping willow.   Good job I thinned its crown or it'd be chucking off branches like the sickly ash.

OH went to bed in a huff last night leaving me to go round and lock all doors and close windows and drop shutters and hunt for Minstrel.  I gave up and she finally appeared for a cuddle at 4am.   Fitfull sleep for me listen to one or two downpours that lasted all of 5 minutes each but we have now had a whole 12mm of rain in the last 36 hours.  More please.   I have babies to plant.

Minstrel and the dogs have "helped" me shred a whole poached chicken for a pastilla.  Next job is the filo pastry and assembly and then cleaning up before everyone arrives.  OH has gone to fetch them from Nantes airport.    I hope he hasn't forgotten about driving in the rain!

No festivals to rain on here but this weekend is the start of the great Belgian escape to the sun as it marks the end of the school year and the start of the official 3 week building industry holiday.  Heaven help anyone needing an emergency plumber or electrician or roofer etc......
