I couldn't finish the sentence because the drafted spell checker wouldn't let me get past the species name (dont dare type it again.) I forgot I had it but they just appear every now and then. I did have a pink one as well, but haven't noticed in amongst thevweeds. They've been there since 1997. image

Morning all, just plucking up courage to head to weightwatchers as I haven't been very good latelyimage

Feeling quite yuk with a headache but I'm sure it will improve once the drugs take effect.  Want to get into the garden today and cut back the chocolate vine and perhaps trim the box cones.  I have a couple of pots of nerines, a mixture of pink and white, they give a lovely splash of colour late in the season.

Was hoping for a brighter day, it's very grey here.  It was lovely yesterday and I went for a walk with Jonah and pushed the pram up a very, very steep hill so hoping that will have burnt a few calories off.

Hope everyone has a good day, whatever they are up to.

Good luck with the weigh-in, Yvie. Brings back memories for me. I haven't been to WW for years, but we still use quite a lot of their recipes.

    Good morning everyone!  Hi Pat!

I'd love to know who - or what - woke me at 00.35 this morning, crashing about behind the house.  I was waiting for the sound of breaking glass, and stayed awake for ages imagining the worst, but can see no evidence of anything untoward this morning.

It's a bit dull today, but still no more than 10% chance of rain...  might need to do some weeding (again).  Was it you, Yvie, talking about gardening being like painting the Forth Bridge?  Definitely true.  Good luck at Weight Watchers, by the way.  Hope the headache retreats.

Lovely flowers, Pat.  And a beautiful blue sky...  image

Hostafan those tulips that monty picked are called danceline. Suttons stock them.

    Morningimage

Compost did not get shifted yesterday - went to 2 nurseries and a GC insteadimage Bought heucheras and quite a few hardy geraniums including a couple of Ann Thompson. She is very similar to Ann Folkard (love it - have a few) but is a little more compact and doesn't get quite as straggly. Quite hard to find so was pleased to pick up the last 2 pots at the nurseryimage. Then we had a spot of lunch and OH cooked dinner while I watched last week's Beechgrove. Nice day all round.

Hope you enjoy your walk Fairy.

Congratulations on the job Clari - used to have dealings with WRVS when I was organising social care for older people. Excellent organisation.

Lovely flowers Pat. Don't really like the pink nerines but I could be persuaded to plant the white ones.

Hope you all enjoy your weekends whatever you're doing - off to shift compost now - SYL.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
