It is really hot here ... 27C in the shade and rising ......... I've come indoors for a cool drink.
When I went to the farm shop I popped into the GC for some more MPC ... a couple of plants 'fell' into the trolley ... a lovely trailing begonia Starshine yellow a lot like this one, but smaller
.. I'm not a huge begonia fan, but I bought one of this type but bright orange last year and it was magnificent . The other buy was a regal pelargonum ... not as dark as Fairy 's fave Lord Bute, but a pretty dark magenta ... again not something I usually get, but I thought we'd have a change this year .... I also bought a big bag of sunflower hearts for Wonky's birds ... they were half price plus 10% reduction so much cheaper than she can get them ..... another reason to visit her to deliver them

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Oh, I wish you'd hung mine out for me Hosta ... I'm sitting here looking at it ... it's too hot to go out there and stand in the sun by the washing line ........................ but I suppose I'll have to .........

27C in the greenhouse with doors open and top windows open.
The nettles I pulled out yesterday are still on the grass, wilting so they take up less room in the dustbin.
I have a yellow rose in bloom. Since it got murdered last year along with everything else on the pergola, that is an achievement. The honeysuckle is growing at a pace, and the wisteria survived but didn't flower.

It's a quarterly report Pdoc. The last was in February which makes May the next and given Brexit the figures are hardly a surprise.

Right, 2 loads of washing done, hung up ( not in tumble drier ) another load almost finished.
Wooden table and chairs from breakfast room taken onto terrace and washed down with warm soda crystals solution,
Floors in kitchen, breakfast room , utility room and bathrooms all steam cleaned.
And it's not even Noon.
I need a cuppa and a bit of carrot cake. then I'll stick nice new felt pads onto the bottoms of the chair legs before they come back indoors.
Busy, busy busy.

Hosta, it's too warm for all that h...rk.
Fairy, will you have a Friday walk after work?
Dove did you keep the tuber from last year's begonia? It was a beauty.
Dove says "it's too hot to go out"
Joyce says "Hosta, it's too warm for all that h...rk."
What wrong with you people?
I'm earning my spot on the terrace in full sun this afternoon for some serious cooking.

Joyce, it went soft and squidgy in the garage

Obelixx, I know it is a quarterly report, but it seems a little odd, that this one was released, whilst others have been withheld, citing " Purdah ".
I may be being too cynical.

I can't get over all your comments - it's usually me complaining about it being too hot.
Are the most of it folks. We had minus 2.6 this morning. Brrr!
