Morning all. We've just had a light shower too, Dove. Whoopee!
Hosta, Hubby said to tell you that we knew he wasn't Australian because we didn't recognise him. ( not my words)
dont tell me who won, because we'll be seeing it tonight if it recorded correctly, although, ... no doubt the news headlines will spoil the anticipation for us.
I've had a lovely relaxing Mother's Day, thanks. Did absolutely nothing except watch YouTube painters and colouring-in people, etc. I'd better get some movement soon though. I feel guilty if I don't. Already dark outside.
Hubby has roast pork belly in the oven - the smell is making me hungry.
I didn't see Beaus Mum either at the Show. Matty had a bright green jacket too, but she got too warm and took it off. I think BM has posted some of my photos!
We watched GW last night, I wish they'd spend more time on the Show and show the bits about the exhibitor's on a later show. They showed very little, my favorite gardens weren't shown at all, nor the Floral Art, nor all the smaller stand apart from the rockery one. But they did show a garden we didn't see at all, which won best in Show. Where the heck was it? We thought we'd covered everything.
I agree about Frances's hideous trousers!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Managed to avoid the Eurovision last night; it's just something that I've never gotten "in" too.
But for anyone needing a little cheer...
You all know Friday was my last day, you all know that his lordship offered to take me out for a meal but then pointed out he was out on Friday night, doesn't like eating out on a weekend and that in actual fact the celebratory meal probably wouldn't happen til June.
Yesterday afternoon I spent 5 hours in the kitchen preparing my dogs meals for the month. 5 hours handling raw meat.
So when his lordship came in and suggested that rather than toil away in the kitchen a moment longer we get fish and chips tonight I jumped at the chance...
... I wasn't expecting him ask if I had any spare cash and to go and get them whenever I was ready! ?
It's the thought that counts!
Pat; you scared with me mentioning of Mothers Day. I always forget that the world doesn't just have the ONE day for celebrating mum's.
Morning all. Did not watch Eurocringe. Can't bear all the hype or being shouted at. Like LP, I wonder what happened to singing a song.
Cool, cloudy and breezy again today but it does get warm in the pm out of the breeze. Ended up with a headache turning into a migraine yesterday so am feeling a bit washed out today but hope to get the herb bed planted up this pm. Taking it easy this morning.
Glad you've had a good Mothers' Day Pat. Chicky - ouch for your dad and what a worry for you. Hope he heals well tho ribs do take time even before you get to 27. Been there, done that.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone, whatever you're doing.

Morning all, Lovely day here a few clouds about but according to the weather forecast they should disappear as the day goes on. Planted up a couple of pots yesterday and would like to do more today but I'm still waiting for a few key plants to be delivered. Might pop out and get some more compost ready for the delivery.
Watched Eurovision last night and really liked the song that won. Thought ours was much better than usual.
Sorry to hear about your dad Chicky, hope he feels better soon.
Love dogs but we can't afford to keep one anymore. Vets bills and the cost of kennel cover during hols make it an expensive business.
Sorry to hear about your dad Chicky - hope it doesn't set him back too much.
Wonky - look after yourself. I struggle with carpal tunnel syndrome occasionally and know how painful it can be. Difficult with the new job and all.
You need to rest it really but I guess that's not really an option at the moment. Have you tried a splint? - I haven't but I think some people find them useful - maybe the doc or a physio can advise.
Can you do self referral to an NHS physio in your area? We can here. A physio might be able to recommend some exercises to help.
We've had some very light rain here over the last couple of days which is better than nothing but, to be honest, hasn't done much beyond laying the dust. The extensive mulching I did earlier has helped but right now we need sustained heavy rain for a couple of days just to get everything going again.
Going to plant up the herb bed and put a new ivy and a few ankle ticklers in today.
Enjoy your Sunday one and all
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Had a short rural jaunt which lifted the spirits. So much blossom on hawthorns and horse chestnuts and hills yellow with gorse flowers. Grass verges full of flowers too.
Beautiful day so it's weeding and planting after lunch.

Clari ... you're really going to have to work on OH's training ... have you thought of getting one of those clickers you get for dogs?

Hi all.
Beautiful day here, after an overnight spattering of rain, we need more.
OH thought it would be nice if she helped me in the garden. It means I will get far less done, but we will have lots of fun.
Eurovision
We watched Rogue 1 last night, not very good, but harmless fun.
Hope your dad is better Chicky.
