Evening everyone - isn't all this rain absolutely wonderful? image imageBoth my garden and I are absolutely loving it - day 3 of heavy but not damaging rain - no gusty winds and mainly outside of gardening hours - what's not to like? A few more days to do a really thorough job please.

Fairy - Lord Bute is one of my favourite pelargoniumsimage You know that he doesn't like the rain very much don't you? (the flowers go mushy quite quickly). But a slightly sheltered spot and he'll be a very handsome addition to your display.

Glad you had a good day with Jean BL.

We had a lovely day out on Tuesday. Went to Flatford Mill (John Constable, The Haywain etc). Absolutely glorious day - 28C - wall to wall sunshine and beautiful scenery / buildings etc. Loved their wildlife garden (I will build a bug hotel this year - some excellent ones there)and picked up some good ideas for more things to plant in my woodland border. Also spent half an hour watching a baby blue tit plucking up courage to leave the bird box. He had about 12 looks before deciding there were just too many people watching. image

On the way back we went past the gates of The Place For Plants in East Bergholt (first rate plant centre - if a tad expensive) so it would have been rude not to call in. Picked up a couple of tarragons and some seeds. Also had a good look at the clematis they had there. Think a couple of the patio ones might make good border plants.

Which clematis did you buy Fairy?

Hope you all have a good eveningimage

You'd think I'd learn! I haven't been reading back for 2 days and it's just taken me about an hour to do it. image

Well everything is back to normal here. Predicted rain for the last 2 days hasn't yet arrived, but it looks misty and grey across the valley. Ive brought the second wheelbarrow from my garden yard and filled it with firewood and pushed it under the back awning.  Hubby had already filled the one usually used for that purpose, so now we've got two full wheelbarrows under shelter and ready to go in the wood heater. We're sitting inside now, both with knitted beanies on and the fire not doing much of a job. image No sun either.  I keep thinking about you having all that lovely life-giving rain and warmer days.

The biggest problem of reading so many pages is that now I can't remember what everyone has been doing. Hosta did you sort out the electricity? Clari, hope the new job keeps going well for you. Im a bit tempted about the cucamelons. There is something on line about someone growing them in Melbourne, so the seeds must be available in Australia. I can just imagine Punkdoc in his GH with the music and playing his air guitar. Lol. Lovely news about Jean.

Thats it. Can't remember any more - sorry if I've missed anyone.image
