Not myself at all this weekend - I'll spare you the details. Been awake since five after going to bed at nine last night after a rubbish day yesterday. Had to come home an hour into my walk. Feel a bit better now. I think those two hills are trying to tell me something.
Goldcrest would be my guess Hosta.
At least my 225 mile round trip didn't include any drivers like that BL, just the usual clowns. Hope you can get it sorted relatively easily. Hate to think what her insurance premiums will be - if she has any...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lovely looking morning, but I supsect still chillier than I'd like.
Driving today, hopefully all day. The excitement of the store AGM tonight. Can't be *rsed going , but it's frowned upon if one doesn't turn up.
Thanks for the suggestions re the wee bird. Still none the wiser. It doesn't have the look of a juvenile, I'll take the camera down when I next tackle the bank and see if I can catch it.
Hubby off " up country" to work this week, so I can can eat / watch what / when I want and go to bed whenever I so choose. Probably won't eat much though. Hey ho, that's a win win too. eh?
Good morning all G'day Pat The birdsong didn't keep me awake but I surfaced once or twice and drifted back to the sound of blackcaps, warblers and cuckoos ... Then I woke properly about 5:30 and just lay and listened for the last hour and a half ... Bliss.
Now the grey skies have rolled back, the sun is shining and the song thrush is singing out there again ...

morning Fairy. I hope you feel better today. Typical on a Sunday instead of a work day.
ive been clearing up again in the veggie beds. They look so empty now. I had to ask Hubby to dig up the sunflowers. The root ball was huge, and we haven't been able to shake the soil off. I'll let them lie for a week or so to shrivel up and then give them another go. the only plants left are kale, broccolini, and silver beet plus various herbs which just stay there all the time.
I think we'll go to the Broads today and go for a walk. There is a nice sounding one in one of my walk guidebooks. Shame the weather isn't a bit warmer.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hosta, enjoy the scenery.
I felt so peed off by the cold weather yesterday that I paid the whole balance on our holiday in Cornwall in September, just to cheer myself up

Fairy , hope you feel much better today. I can imagine your disappointment yesterday.

There was birdsong after that as well Joyce, but some talky bits too ... Poetry ...
